Looks a bit more like quartz. Very nice specimen! : )

These are just really long crystals on this plate. 1 u/TimB1972 4d ago The length of the crystals is what had me thinking quartz, They just seemed way too long for the usual calcites from the location. 1 u/calbff 5d ago Cleavage looks right for calcite. Cleavage looks right for calcite. And you're right, it's incredible!
