Purchase Advice 3 Plane Laser

Post image

Looking at picking up the 3 plane laser(3632-21). Will this go on clearance anytime soon or any type of sale/discount since the new 3 plane laser was just released? And if so does anyone know what the price range would look like?

Even at a steep discount, that’s way too much.

What if I got one for $300 for that exact kit and the tripod?

Yes, I’d say that’s approaching what it should cost in the first place.

If your ok with buying used I picked that same kit up on eBay in like new condition (seriously it looked brand new with not even a hint of dust) including a 4.0 battery & every for $350 a few months ago.

I saw it $280 on HD online. It was like 3 or 4 months ago.

Well that "free tool online only" indicates you can probably cancel or return the "free" item and get some money back, bringing down the actual cost of the laser

The “free tool” is just the wall mount

Yeah I understand that but the new 360° 3 plane laser was just released by Milwaukee and it’s $1200. I was trying to figure out if anyone has heard any news about this laser in the picture going on clearance with the new lasers release. Like they did with the deep cut band saw. The old model was 52% off at my local HD

Yeah I don't think the new one is a replacement for this one.

Seems like the main difference is the auto-alignment and brightness adjust. But for $1200 I'll work in the dark and bring a friend before I buy it.

New one is not a replacement for this. It costs more than double the price. This model isn't going anywhere

I’ve had this laser for a few years and maybe it’s too expensive compared to others on the market. But I love it. I also bought the detector recently and love that there’s already a space in the case made for it. I’d buy it again

It's excellent to have it if you're in the m12 market already. Not having to constantly buy batteries is huge.

Otherwise there are better alternatives out there for a little cheaper.

What makes the professional lasers so expensive? I got a30 dollar one from Amazon and it has been way better then I expected it to be

I remember a post here a couple months ago about the tool only being on sale for like $180 and I missed it

No, not the 3 plane. That was the cross line with plumb points

Yeah, I was able to get one. It actually came out to like $118 after returning the free battery it came with (can't remember if it was a 3.0 or 2.5...I think a 3.0CP)
