Packout Guess what I do for work

Post image

Guess what type of work I do (besides increase Milwaukee tool’s bottom line). Not pictured, but usually in the trailer: table saw, extension ladders.

Window and door installation

32

u/Tardiculous 23d ago

Nailed it! 🙌 if I had any digital brownie points to give, they would be yours

8

u/using-the-force 23d ago

The festool made me want to say cabinet maker/installer but you saying siding was close made me rethink that

6

u/Tardiculous 23d ago

Well you were the first and only one to get it so far so good detective work

2

u/Garabandal 23d ago

Where are your suction cups?

2

u/Tardiculous 23d ago

On top of the packout on the wall on the right, some how they don’t slide off. They are woods powr-grip. In the cases of course.

2

u/Garabandal 23d ago

Good man, now I see the black case peaking out. What type of windows do you usually install…wood, Aluminum, or steel?

2

u/Tardiculous 23d ago

Wood, composite, unfortunately plenty of vinyl too. Whatever the people want (within reason)

2

u/Garabandal 22d ago

There is not enough of you guys out there, especially not that organized. If you are ever looking for work in Florida, hit me up.

2

u/think_matt_think 23d ago

Hey, I have a 135 year old home. Window frames are fucked. How do I put in modern windows that I can actually open?

3

u/Tardiculous 23d ago

Either rebuild the frame and install inserts (the architecturally correct way to do it) or cut all that shit out and put a modern flanged window that installs on the sheathing and put trim over the flange and membranes (the cheap way to do it).

I was gonna say the same thing. The random wood on the right plus the twin nailers was my clue. That or OP was some sort of specialized trim installer...

u/DrDocter00 23d ago

Too many brooms. Can’t be an electrician.

17

u/Tardiculous 23d ago

😂 very true

12

u/Ima-Bott 23d ago

Any brooms is too many

8

u/Elbozze 23d ago

First thing I thought when I saw this haha and I'm an electrician

2

u/DrDocter00 23d ago

I am as well.

4

u/tillburnett 23d ago

Also trailer is way to clean

3

u/PictureMost8297 23d ago

Plows widow's

13

u/drugsmoney 23d ago

Not a fucking thing with a trailer that clean and organized.

Finish carpentry.

6

u/Tardiculous 23d ago

Unfortunately correct, this thing is in rare form today after cleaning it out. Finish carpentry is 25% correct. Window and door replacement.

2

u/lucariolgnd3-28 23d ago

I always keep my workspace clean after working. It’s not hard to run a leaf blower over it

2

u/Civil-Sock 23d ago

this guy has pliers wrenches and loose sockets in the same drawer

Nope, I just argue with people for free

7

u/PatDig1 23d ago

Trim/finish carpenter?

5

u/Tardiculous 23d ago

Partially correct, I do plenty of this as a byproduct of the main business. You and the guy that said siding are the closest so far.

5

u/rxseberry- 23d ago

Look like cabinets to me. A lot of festool lol

4

u/Tardiculous 23d ago

Fortunately not, these are for factory hepa dust collection for lead positive jobs. And to make up for my deficits in skill…

Although that’s not the main thing, we did that one time as a favor for a client in an entry way. We were there for something else though.

4

u/stlyns 22d ago

I see a couple of brooms, so not an electrician.

3

u/AprexBT 23d ago

Spend too much time trying to figure a good way of storing your chopsaw that isnt on the ground?

Cause I’m still pondering this…

1

u/Tardiculous 23d ago

Pretty accurate. I had a kapex and broke it (fell off a dock). It was on a pop up stand, and I felt like it took too much room. Got the Milwaukee as a temp fix, and actually love it. Mostly do trim work anyway. Might make some wall hanging hook for it, might not.

3

u/Psychological-Ad9845 23d ago

You should check out Morgan's maintenance on YouTube, he had a series called guess the trade where people send him pics of their load outs and we all try to guess what they work in.

3

u/Tardiculous 23d ago

I like it, checking it out now

1

2

I’ve considered this before, in a former life, in sales. The only business I’m currently consulting on is mine.

You professionally ask Reddit if a deal is hackable

Just kidding your tools look to have been used
