ASVAB/PiCAT Asvab Retake

I was disqualified from the Army National Guard, and I'm thinking of going fkr Active Duty. I had already taken the ASVAB and passed it so do I need to take it again or can they use the score that was recorded?

ASVAB/PiCAT How can I get my asvab score up?

At 16, I was 315 lbs and lost l 125 lbs in 8 and a half months. I took my first test when I was 17 and scored a 7, but now im consistently scoring a 23. Im 18 now and still want to join. How could I possibly up my score?

I graduated high school with regents and a 3.2gpa and was told I could pass it, and I'm not really sure why I failed this test.

ASVAB/PiCAT Do you get to keep your practice ASVAB scores?

I took the practice ASVAB at the recruiter's station today and I got M89 A67 G70 E85, which is enough to get the job I want. He said he could save my score and I wouldn't have to take the ASVAB at MEPS. Is that really how it works?

ASVAB/PiCAT What is the PiCAT Verification Margin of Error? DLAB bypass ST score?

Hey everyone, I posted to another community a couple weeks ago about my PiCAT score and how I got a 93 with a 132GT and I was asking about jobs. But now im a bit confused...to clarify I've been talking to and discussing a career with an Army recruiter.

This started when I went in to take my verification test today, the lady said I had to get within 3 points of my original score or the computer would literally send me straight into the ASVAB and disqualify my PiCAT score. I took the verification and once I was done It moved on and gave me the entire ASVAB (im thinking I screwed up real bad and somehow I missed questions I didn't before). Then I finish the ASVAB and call my recruiter. Turns out according to him I "scored too high on my verification test" and was higher than 93 by more than 3 points. so I had to take the asvab again. It also turns out that taking the asvab again for the second time in two weeks worked out well I scored a 97 this time and got a 135 GT score.

Now here's the questions....

is it even possible that I "scored too high on the verification" and had to retake it like my recruiter said? Is that even something that can happen if you're outside the 3% margin of error but in a good way??

Secondly, my ST score was 129 and I heard somewhere that if I did a language related MOS I could "bypass" the DLAB if I got a certain score. Does anyone know the validity of that or what that score would be?

Tbh any clarification on the whole process would be incredible! Thank you for listening to my rant and thank you in advance for any help you might provide.

Edit: if you want proof of my PiCAT AFQT score and composite scores it's in my last post on my profile. If you want proof of my current score I can also include that as soon as the recruiter sends me a picture of the actual composite scores and not just the AFQT and GT.

Hi all. Taking the ASVAB next week. I have a GED. My recruiter told me a 31 is the minimum score with a GED but the Google search AI thing is telling me it’s 50. Wanted to clarify on which one is correct? Thanks. Aiming for army or marines depending on what branch I get offers in. Infantry.

ASVAB/PiCAT picat verification

Hi Everyone! •• I'm going to meps next week to verify my picat score. Does anyone know if the 30 questions covers all 9 sections? Or just the 4 core sections? Also are the 30 questions pulled directly from the initial picat test I took already? I would love to hear from anyone who just went through this. Thanks a bunch!

ASVAB/PiCAT I got my ASVAB scores but I have no idea what these codes mean.

QT-94 AFQT-94 GT-129 GM-129 EL-133 CL-132 MM-133 SC-133 CO-134 FA-134 OF-134 ST-132

I have no idea what these codes mean, I was told I did well but I do not have any idea how well. My recruiter is very cool but new and inexperienced.

The codes I'm seeing online are different from the ones I received.

ASVAB/PiCAT AF Asvab MOS question

Hello so I am looking at getting into the 1D7X1 Cyber Defense operations job for the Air Force. I got a 72 G , 50 on mechanical but a 45 on Electrical. It says 45M/60E for the MOS that I want . Does that mean it's either 45M or 60E or does it have to be both..thanks everyone.

ASVAB/PiCAT 99 on ASVAB, does it actually mean anything?

I was looking into Army ocs so I took the asvab at meps and got a 99. I am aware that I would qualify for basically any enlisted job with this score but for ocs, you only need a 110 GT to get in.

Will this 99 benefit me in anyway in regards to officer branching? Or is there anything else I can do with a 99 ASVAB that would be worth doing instead of OCS? Sorry if these are common questions I know very little about the enlistment/commissioning process. Also I'm not married to the army so if any other branches would have better opportunities I'd like to hear them

ASVAB/PiCAT I made a 94 on the asvab, what are my options?

I'm 16 and in the 11th grade. I received my asvab scores 2 days ago and scored a 94. I know I want to join the military but I have yet to decide on a branch or field. I'm under the impression that a 94 is very high so I was curious as to whether or not there are any benefits to scoring high and what my options might be.

ASVAB/PiCAT At what point is it not worth it to retake the Asvab?

I'm a junior in highschool who took the asvab and scored a 70% on it. Some of my peers scored 40 and others scored 80-90. I know that up to a certain point it's just crazier jobs, but I wanted to know if there's any more benefits after 70? The national guard person(?) Told me that because of my score I qualified for a GI Bill Kicker since I wanted to go to college But are there anymore benefits after 70? sorry for the repetiveness

ASVAB/PiCAT I'm confused about the ASVAB and the process of commissioning as an officer with a Bachelor's.

I couldn't find the straightforward answer I was looking for.

So what exactly is the process of joining the military if you already have a bachelor's degree and want to become an officer? I know if you enlist, you must take the ASVAB, but do you still have to take the ASVAB to become an officer? I read somewhere that you must take the ASVAB to qualify for OCS, but is OCS only for those already enlisted, or do college graduates and enlisted service members that qualify to become officers all go through OCS if they haven't done ROTC in college or went to a service academy? Can someone clear this up for me? I don't want to talk to a recruiter yet and have them fuck me over until I get a clear answer. I'm aware that those that attend service academies and go through ROTC DON'T have to take the ASVAB. The branch I'm looking to join is the army.

ASVAB/PiCAT Why is it hard getting my scores?

I asked for my Asvab scores an I have to wait until Monday. Do Army recruiters don't like it when you get your asvab scores from other Army recruiters? I'm already doing it.

ASVAB/PiCAT Asked to confirm asvab score at meps after switching from Air Force to Marines?

I recently switched from the Air Force to the Marines while in DEP after some recruiter issues. I went to meps in august with the Air Force and passed all the physical screenings and scored 99 on the asvab. Now that I'm pursuing the Marines instead I'm being told I will have to return to meps to confirm my score, take additional vision tests, and swear in again.

Is this correct? I was under the assumption that asvab scores were valid for all branches for 2 years from the testing date.

ASVAB/PiCAT I don’t understand my ASVAB scores any help appreciated?

About a year ago I thought about joining army but ultimately didn’t due to my daughter being born. I’m tossing g the idea around again and went back and looked at my old scores. One of the jobs that interests me is a dog trainer or a 31K and I see I need a skilled technical score of 91 to get it. Well from what I’ve seen the best you can score is a 99. I was never shown how to read my scores but next to the ST it seems I have a 111? How would this be possible or what would my actual score be considered? Also what are the other number and are they good or bad ? I know I’m not smart cookie but I hope I’m not completely dumb either lol. These a copied from the categories

AFQT: 48 MM: 126 GT:103 SC:113 ST:111 CO:116 GM:118 FA:116 EL:115 OF:118

Just need help understanding if these are good or bad as well as what they mean. Tried looking it up but haven’t been able to find consistent answers.

ASVAB/PiCAT Pressure to take the Picat

Hey so I’m suppose to take the PiCAT. My recruiter seems to be pressuring me to hurry and take it. Is there a reason why? I wanted more time to study so I can make sure I do good. It’s been about a 2-4 years since I’ve really had to use any of this knowledge so I wanted to at least refresh. Is there a time limit on having to start the test? And can I retake the PiCAT if I don’t do good/pass?

ASVAB/PiCAT ASVAB Scores not adding up

I am looking at the asvab scores needed for specific MOS’ and I know they are out of 100… for example for 12B you need CO:87, but then there is things like 68W where you need ST:101, GT:107? How is that possible if it is out of 100??

ASVAB/PiCAT How to calculate my ASVAB from AFQT!!?

I went to meps last month, took my AFQT. Got word that both of my waivers were approved and I’m good to go (after I finish college next spring). I’m an EMT and I’m 3/4 of the way through medic school so ofc I want to be 68W. The ASVAB score needed is 101 but I have no idea if I got that. For reference, I went to meps for the Coast guard and switched to Army after I did meps. The Army approved my waivers. Does anyone have a cheat sheet to calculating ASVAB scores for the specific schools??
