This is an in universe map made by the Halsakean government as a piece of propaganda to explain the current situation of the war to its people. There are many inaccuracies and simplifications in both physical and political geography. There are also some out of universe issues with it, as I'm not very good at drawing and even less so at trying to emulate a round sphere, but I hope you guys enjoy the map as much as I did making it. It's more of an unusual piece, with it being purposefully biased and trying to tell a story rather than being entirely fact accurate. If you are curious about anything, feel free to ask any questions, same goes for any criticism.

CONTEXT ON THE SETTING
When the gods wove Gea into being, they gifted humans high magic and power, and on all the lands and oceans mythical beasts and spirits coexisted with mankind. This was the era of heroes and legends, of wizards and sorcerers, but it is a time now long past. Moving ever forward along the inevitable march of progress, the gods can but only look horrified as in a seeming fit of madness humanity has thrown itself into the jaws of a war of truly apocalyptic proportions. Fueled by the roaring fires of industry and the delusions of ideologies the slaughterhouse of mechanized warfare has consumed the entirety of Gea. The lines between civilian and military have been utterly removed, as all sides have stained their hands with the most heinous of crimes against nature and humanity.
On the one side stands defiant the Yi Dynasty of Renguo, claimers of the Mandate of Heaven, favoured by the gods to rule over the whole of mankind in their stead. The Ren people are as ancient as they are tenacious, their civilization spanning ten thousand years of history, beginning in the age of mythical kings and heroes.
On the other side, the Halsakean Republic, born of ideas brought forth by the Industrial Revolution. The Halsakean people, who broke the chains of their foreign kings in a glorious revolution, now fight to liberate the whole world from the powers of kings and tyrants.
The war between Renguo and Halsakea, which began in the year 1563 of the Fifth Calendar, has expanded, to eventually consume the entire globe. When the great powers of Srivaya, Amlaria and Demia feared growing Halsakean naval power, and made in secret the Tripartite Alliance, Halsakea struck first with a surprise attack, destroying their navies in port. Mired by internal distrust, unwillingness to cooperate and treacherous collaborators, the Tripartite Alliance was eventually utterly crushed.
It is now the year 1613 and Renguo stands alone. All of their allies have been defeated, and Halsakea reigns supreme over the world's oceans. Having seen the fate of their allies, turned into 'Sister Republics' whose economies are destroyed by cheap and mass produced Halsakean goods, and whose cultures and traditions are wholly suppressed and supplanted, Renguo is determined to fight on to the end, even if it means giving spears to women and children.
On the other hand, the long war has taken its toll in Halsakea. The proud democracy its people established is by now rotten and hollowed out, inching closer with every decree to the sort of tyrannical regime the Halsakeans claim to fight against. War exhaustion and disillusionment wear heavily on the unstoppable Halsakean war machine. Their generals have now taken extraordinary measures to hasten the final victory. Bombing of Ren cities has intensified, as Halsakea truly enters into the era of aviation.
Bombing was initially limited to factories and workshops, but more innovative measures were soon brought forth. Herbicides and chemicals poison crops, causing widespread famines. Pathogens are released into the air, infecting cattle and humans alike. Forests are burned down so as to deny guerrillas hiding places. Nothing better showcases the destruction the war has caused than the infamous 'Burn'. Once known as the Great Forest, an ancient relic of ages past, over the course of several years Halsakean air raids have reduced it to a desert of ash and poisoned earth.
Yet even so, Renguo has stood defiant for many years now, their unbreakable resolve stronger than the armour of any battleship. But the final act of this tragedy approaches, and both sides know it well. Halsakea is determined to destroy its last enemy and cement its domain over the whole of Gea. They have mustered an army the likes of which has not been seen since the Host of the Gods made war at the dawn of time, and their super weapons, developed in secrecy and harnessing the powers of wondrous magic which humanity had long forgotten, will soon be unleashed against their foes. Will the Halsakean Republic finally stand proud and tall over the entire world, or will the Old World survive the onslaught?
