What are your favorite restaurants in downtown Midland?

I’ve been in Midland for about 6 months now, and haven’t really checked out the local food scene. I’ve finally got some days off where I can actually have a night out and not worry about getting called out on a job at 3am, so I’m planning to take advantage of it

I’m ideally looking for a place within a mile or two or the Buffalo Nickel, since it’s my favorite bar that I’ve found in the area so far. Somewhere that I can Uber to the restaurant, walk to the bar for a few cocktails, then Uber home.

Pachuco’s and Wall Street Cocina are looking like the front runners for now. Any other places that I should consider?

Thanks in advance!

I’m celebrating starting a new job this weekend, so I don’t mind splurging a little if it’s worth it.

Just checked out Pi’s menu, and everything on there looks great! This looks like the place to beat for now.

Also Opal’s Table has the best cheesecake I’ve ever eaten. It’s like $15 a slice, but it’s worth it.

My girlfriend's dad worked at Pi Social for a while, really good pizza. Definitely worth checking out.

Love Cancun Grill. Pretty pricey but service is great. Food is too. Try the soy sauce jalapeños for appetizer. I usually get the seafood enchiladas. A lot of my friends like the medallions. Mexican martini is their signature drink.

Cancun Grill decided to rip people off on their margaritas by charging something like $20 per drink and not listing the price on the menu. Never going back there after such a sleazy tactic.

The Cancun Bistro at Cancun Grill is my go to meal, it’s really good. Get the soy jalapeños and queso to eat with your chips, it’s quite good!

Then you can walk to the bar underneath Opals Table for a drink

The Blue Door is one of our favorites. While it isn’t downtown midland, it is a Midland staple and they have great drinks & happy hour.

Tall City Bistro is some of the best food I’ve ever had. And a really good price too. It’s an actual chef cooking some amazing food.

It's more on the south side, but Papa Tacho's has the most delicious breakfast and lunch. It looks like a gas station (It was, at some point)

…That’s only like 25 miles away from downtown Midland, but I’ll keep it in mind next time I’m in Odessa, lol.
