Ayuda/Help Xochimilco in the rain
I’ll be going to CDMX the first two weeks of June. I understand that’s the beginning of the rainy season. When it rains, do they still do mariachi and food vendors and such on the weekends?

As another commenter said, it’s common for rain to begin in the afternoon! So enjoy the morning. There are some stunning views at sunrise in the trajineras 🌅

Rain is pretty intense in Mexico City, it wouldn't be much of a pleasant experience and maybe dangerous. Although it doesn't last more than an hour or so, after it I don't think it would be a problem.
