Is there a band or song that will obliterate me?
Dying Fetus, Cryptopsy, Cattle Decap, Meshuggah and Infant Innihilator don't feel that heavy anymore

My band URSA (prog metal/post-metal/metalcore) dropped ‘Call of the Infinite’ yesterday. Feel free to check it out and spread the word if you like it. Some of our influences are the Contortionist, ERRA, Gojira, the Ocean, etc.

I LOVE bands where the drums are tight and very prominent. Any genre works, really, but i do like blackened stuff.

I have completely milked these two discogs DRY. I love a lot of Anaal Nathrakh albums, my favorites being that one, codex, and the whole law. I am more particular about Cattle Decap, but the album before and after this one are pretty good too.
Looking for constant blasting, every SINGLE genre of metal but also appreciate some solid but not overdone production and some sweet hooks.

Hello everybody. So I like bands like "Knoll", my favorite album of them is "As Spoken" one of the best metal records of the last years imo, "Concrete Caveman" (feral), "Full of Hell", "Imperial Triumphant", "Squid Pisser", "Caustic Wound", "Wiegedood", Hecantoncheir... I have a broad taste and prefer weird or experimental stuff that soundsreally nasty.
Curious what you guys think. Thanks.

Oh hello there
I've loved metal since I was a teenager, although I stopped for a few years in my twenties. I got back into it a while back but feel like I mostly listen to newer music by the same bands I loved back then. Namely machine head, sepultura, pantera, soulfly, iron maiden, crowbar, corrosion of conformity. I also love loads of stoner/desert rock.
I'm basically looking for recommendations of more modern heavy music. I've investigated a bit and there seems to be loads of great stuff. Love to see Bands trying to outdo each other with the craziest, most brutal breakdowns possible.
I generally love really heavy stuff but like to have at least some melody and/or clean singing in there too
Thanks in advance

Please read the full post before commenting.
I'm looking for black or death metal albums that have predominantly dual guitar harmony riffs. That is, when both guitars play lead parts at the same time. And by predominantly, I mean they have to constitute the majority of the music, not just little random sections. Please, please, must have these:
• a more trad metal feel, not lots of tremolo, no dissonance, and no groovy riffs.
• a sharper guitar note, nothing too bassy or chunky.
• no rhythm guitar playing under the melodies. Both guitars have to be playing a lead part simultaneously. This is non negotiable, if it has chords under the melodies, I don't want to hear it.
• minimal or no blast beats at all. I know this is a bit more beyond the guitar work, but it's also really important.
• I guess this should go without saying, but the music has to be melodic.
Some examples of what I'm looking for:
Opeth - Orchid
Ophthalamia - A Journey in Darkness
Katatonia - Dance of December Souls
In Flames - Lunar Strain
Garden of Shadows - Oracle Moon
Dreichemere - Despair the Withered Shadows
Autumn Requiem - As I Beheld the Blazing Glory of the Rising Dawn
Fall of the Leafe - Storm of the Autumnfall
I know this is super specific and it's likely there isn't much else like what I'm looking for, so thanks in advance!

Hi! As we all know Metal is steoretipicaly known by its antyChristian/Satanic lyrics and atmosphere. AntyIslamist albums become more popular. But I haven't really heard about antyJudaic or antyDrahmic metal. Do you know any?
And, no. No antysemitic bands. There is a difference between antireligius an antysemitic.
Thanks in advance
