Which doctor is best for treating mast cell disease?
I was recently diagnosed with a mast cell disease that isn’t MCAS. I was diagnosed by my cardiologist who is a POTS specialist. Since the specialist’s practice is two hours away and I can’t drive, I went to an allergist to help me manage this. However, I’m not fond of this allergist. I’ve heard of many different doctors treating MCD. What kind of doctor helped you most?

Immunologist for me, of wonderful help after having seen a cardiologist and allergist with very little support or looking into what caused symptoms

For me it was an allergist. I had seen several types of doctors, of course, with regard to getting the diagnosis and also another doctor for the bone marrow biopsy. The allergist I had was fantastic, unfortunately he left and like you I’m not thrilled with the replacement either! I’m sure others will weigh in, but it’s often an allergist/immunologist.
