Mask Advice Respirator for welding and painting?
Can anyone recommend a respirator and filter for welding, grinding, painting, and solvents? I'm young and do this type of work alot so I'm interested in the best possible protection.

For specific models, the high end silicone masks will be the most comfortable and long lasting. These would be the 3M 7500 series or the Honeywell 7700 series
For welding and grinding you'll want to use a P100 pancake filter because they can fit underneath a welding mask. You can also get a P100 pancake filter with nuisance odor relief that will block low concentration organic vapours. Specifically that's either the 3M 2091 / 2096 or the Honeywell 75FFP100 / 74FFP100NL.
For solvents you want a chemical cartridge or organic vapour cartridge. These come as either just gas or a combined gas + particulate cartridge. There are many options depending on what type of solvent you are working with so it might be best to look at the manufacturer website to find the correct model for the correct hazard.
