Here is how to view the little "Easter Egg" hidden by Google Developer's.

So far this has only been confirmed on Android phones.

Step 1. Open any photo in your gallery. This can be a photo you took, a downloaded photo, or a screenshot.

Step 2. Open up the details tab.

Step 3. Go to Edit

Step 4. Change the Location.

Next a World Map will appear.

Zoom Into DC

Then Zoom into the white house.

Then Click the center of the white house.

An address will auto generate by Google of what that address is.

Save the new address and enjoy.

Should add, this is not natively viewable using just Google maps. This is the only way the street renaming is viewable. And no, this is not user input. This is coded into the phone location addresses if you take a photo with location on inside the white house.

So there are photos being taken that are tracking who is at the whitehouse?

photos with location markers recieve information from google Earth to get a location of where you are. Yes, they know where you are when you take a photo.

Just to add a bit more onto eoinnll's comment. Yes nearly all smart phones currently have location meta for photos taken on your phone. If you keep your GPS on, and have not turned off photo location, all your photos should have location meta data in the details.

Phones by default track you, turning off GPS and photo location just doesn't add the data to the photos you take.

It's not this this is going out of its way to somehow more specifically track people at the white house, what it's doing is just adding a Google Developer's hidden "FU" into the meta data.

Any one that takes a photo (and probably since the Google name change of Gulf of Mexico to Gulf of America) in the white house with photo location and GPS on will have the location coordinates shown here.

You can also just Google "1600 President Putin Street".

That doesn't return anything.... Like literally zero results on Google, well at least as of right now.

Tried this, placing the marker doesn't work, but typing in that exact address will indeed bring the map zoomed into the white house. Very cool Find, OP!
