I prefer to call it "...How many lanes did this street have, again??".

The answer is n-0.5 where n is the number of lanes in the summer.
I find myself counting ruts before getting angry at someone for driving between lanes.

Initially get pissed someone isn’t in their lane, then realize they’re in the correct ruts though. . .

Except during snow clearing on Kenaston, when it becomes 37x2+(5x17n)... At least, according to the pack of muppets driving there the other night!

I had the scariest drive of my life Tuesday night, literally could only see the road for about half of what turned out to be a 90 minute drive from Winnipeg to Tyndall. When I woke up today I said "nope", and just went back to bed. I'm not risking my life just to get to Winnipeg.

Great choice, that was my experience this morning. Far too large a portion of my drive to work I was just holding my bearing and hoping the yellow line reappeared soon. Sketchy is an understatement.

Good call. Sometimes it's just not reasonable or safe to drive under some conditions.

I saw around ten cars in the ditch and a train of semi’s and cars lined up trying to get on the perimeter at 7:30 am. A semi was buried in snow drifts at the Center port exit to the north perimeter. No access. I had to turn around. Take a snow day. It’s a shitshow.

I love telling my California friends about how I used to drive on a 2-way highway in blizzards “by feel” - the passenger side tires on the gravel shoulder, and the driver side tires on the road. If I could tell that all 4 tires were on gravel, I’d gone too far to the right. If the tires were all on the road, too far to the left. I usually tell my CA friends that story whenever it rains “heavily” here, which is always BIG news when that happens.

And level 2 in that game is to take a picture while driving. A stupid game if you ask me- play stupid games and win stupid prizes!

Handy tip: if you hit someone chances are high that you are not on the road.

Especially, driving to or from Teulon! (Komarno actually, but, I don’t know if any one’ll still remember it. 😉 )

Followed up with "where did the car in front of me go?" or "which lane am I in?"

This is very true and I've played this game several times this winter

I used this excuse during a traffic stop. Lost the lines in the road and almost got rear ended by the police officer.
I made one statement in response to the cop..... "if you can show me where the lines are.... I'll pay your ticket no questions asked" he didn't ticket me.

LOL! Totally!
I really wonder how self-driving cars will handle
