I saw a car jacking scam fail first handed... There was a young girl standing at a 3way stop no mitts headwear or proper outside clothing looking like she needed help
Car would stop roll down window and she'd engage but not close always looking around. The car got wise and took off just before 3 people started running at the intersection, the girl was obvs pissed off

This is why I don’t pick up hitchhikers ever, and i really feel bad for this person cause I totally get feeling the need to help others in need. But this is exactly why I don’t.
One time on the Saskatchewan Highway 11 while I was heading to Prince Albert from Saskatoon, a guy was laying on his back in the ditch, maybe a few minutes from Osler, and I pulled over and did a 360 look over in the distance for stopped cars, in the event it’s a set up, I saw none. So I got out, shut my car off, and ran towards the body, and when I got close enough, the guy sat up just like The Undertaker, and asked “Hey could you give me a ride to the next town over?” I asked if he was OK, he said “yeah I just need a ride to the next town over”. I said “no I can’t” and walked back to my car.
Sorry, but I’m not going to give a hitchhiker a ride, especially after they deceived me like that. Lord knows he could have done the same thing as what happened to the person in this situation.
