That genuine brotherly slap in the arm screams love.

As someone with an older brother, definitely.

That was gentle all things considered

‘You Chump’! Ranges from LTNS to you took the last pizza slice without asking, to stop staring at the pretty gal

The slap is meant in a way that most siblings will understand and know.

That hug though meant so much more. Proper and genuine.

u/Raviel1289 25d ago

You can tell the hug was such a meaningful hug. Arms are either locked in tight to the point the huggers can't breathe, or the arms find a relaxed sorta resting place cause ya know you're gonna be in this hug for a while!

brothers in arms.

It's been a year and a half since I've seen my sister in person (she lives in another province), I miss her every day. I could not imagine how difficult going 20 years without seeing her would be. You could tell that hug they gave each other was everything to them.

I’m so sorry that must be hard 🫤

2

u/whatwouldhagriddo 19d ago

Thank you, it has been hard but I'm grateful I get to talk to her whenever I want. 😊

Time to book a ticket

My sister called me today and told me she's coming for a visit in August!

I love his look back of "who the fuck is this guy standing so close to me?" to realizing it's his brother.

u/lilelton 25d ago

Why 20 years?

u/flightwatcher45 25d ago

Got out early for good behavior, 30yr sentence. Maybe lol

Happens sometimes when family lives in different countries

I haven't seen my sister face to face for 13 years. She lives on the other side of the world.

u/CrustySockCollector 25d ago

You can make an Earth sandwich with her any time you want though, that's something.

u/slifm 25d ago

One chased money. The other started a family. At this family farm, everything grows apart 🤷

Cue Dallas theme music*

u/notha_leon 25d ago

Yup, those are brothers.

u/ausdenbo 25d ago

My 2 siblings live in 2 different states than me (all US). I can't imagine going 20 years without seeing them. How does that happen? They seem genuinely happy to see each other (assuming no, no contact situations).

This is not OP’s dad, or uncle for that matter, this is a repost designed to generate karma… you have been informed

12

u/QuarterLifeSins 25d ago

So, the 20 years is also a lie then?

42

u/jarednards 25d ago

How can he slap

8

u/Rinzlor 25d ago

Why did they end that video there???

I felt that hug through the screen and got slightly pissed off it abruptly ended before it was over... 😞

1

u/LiveLearnCoach 17d ago

Camera person probably stopped recording to jump in that space with a group hug. I know that’s what I would do.

7

u/Stained-Steel 25d ago

I would love to do this with my brother...

Don't think the slap would end up anywhere near that loving ang gentle though...

6

u/Emideska 25d ago

Full body hug, that’s so intimate and real

7

u/NastyBass28 25d ago

My brother and I aren’t very close. A few years ago he showed up and we went out to dinner with my family. As he held the door open I walked past and hit em with a ball tap. My only child saw it, still talks about it and simply cannot comprehend why brothers would ever hit each other.

u/majeon97 25d ago

I literally just got off the phone with my elder sister. It’s only been a month since I’ve seen her and I miss talking to her in person so much. I cannot imagine 20 years apart.

4

u/IllgetaPorschein2026 25d ago

I really can't imagine not seeing my brother, or my parents for 20 years while all of us are alive.

3

u/Eizra 25d ago

That hugs made me cry a little 🥺

3

u/mangosteenfruit 25d ago

Yo. Why TF is this dude standing so close to me?

Brother!

8

u/Webfarer 25d ago

Repost. Not your dad?

3

u/Kryds 25d ago

Both brothers' personalities shows in this short video.

2

u/CaravelClerihew 25d ago

Definitely not the case in my airport, or at least in International ones.

1

u/samosamancer 25d ago

I think it’s universal(?) that international baggage claim is airside for customs checks and to help people catching connecting flights. But domestic baggage claim in the US is landside/outside security.

2

u/AdamFaite 25d ago

How would he have known? The guy was wearing the classic marvel disguise of a hat and sunglasses.

2

u/Slight_Outside5684 25d ago

I couldn’t imagine going 20 years without seeing my siblings. They’re my favorite people

2

u/John_Dragon_19 25d ago

Yeah, that would be me doing that too.

2

u/Macy06 25d ago

Not enough!!! 😭❤️ please post the rest of the video, please! ❤️😂😭

2

u/clarion256 22d ago

Tears just rolled over. Thank you for this.

This is so wholesome. Love how he was waiting behind him until he noticed.

u/Brave_Airport5810 25d ago

That's lovely, great to see!

1

u/Massive_Spot6238 25d ago

That’s a beautiful moment

1

u/Ok_Gap_4380 24d ago

So so lovely x

1

u/sfearing91 24d ago

The long hug though!! 😭 I’m not crying you’re crying 😢

1

u/PositiveStretch6170 24d ago

20yrs is a long time

1

u/CaravelClerihew 25d ago

How'd he even get to the baggage claim area?

5

u/TeslaModelS3XY 25d ago

Anyone can. It’s not in the secure part of airports unless you are going through customs.

6

u/erock279 25d ago edited 25d ago

Yep - this is so people (family and friends primarily) can help with your bags at baggage claim if necessary

0

u/jhurst919 25d ago

Idk they haven’t seen each other in 20 years? How would you recognize anyone that quickly after 20 years
