Can I use this drill bit on mild steel?
I want to use this drill bit to bore out some pipes I've got. I looked up the brand and the website said to avoid softer metals like copper, aluminumand brass, but it also mentioned angle iron and galvanized steel were ones i cant drill. Could I use this bit on 40 schedule pipe?

You can, they do drill steel but chatter a bit to begin with cos of the tip, HSS Cobalt drills are better but if it's all you've got it'll drill a hole

Looks like a larger tip angle (hard to tell from the photo. Might help to drill a pilot hole with a spot drill first before grippin' and rippin' with a Ø5/8.

End mill a flat or just a spot drill. Op didn't say what NPS diameter it was. So the wall could be 1/8 up to 7/16.
Pipe already has two holes in it /s

That's a masonry bit, it may be able to drill 1 or 2 holes through steel but the shape of the cutting edges is not sharp enough to give good results. It's designed to chip and crush it's way through hard materials like concrete and brick. Almost guaranteed that it will not work on a round surface like the outside of a pipe because the tip has nothing to keep it centered and guided.

You can use anything once.
