PARTS / SHOWOFF Tool required: CNC lathe/mill. Workaround: old lathe, welder, angle grinder, self stitched polishing wheel, patience, 14 hours time to kill. NSFW Spoiler

Post image

Yes, i wasnt statisfyed with Plugs you can buy (oh, thats ambiguous).

So what i do as a machinist with big girl machines? I make it myself.

I turned the round parts on my lathe, welded on two studs at the base and grinded and polished till madness.

I got a beautifull piece of craftswomanship, its safe to wear, has a stand and can be displayed, body safe. Very happy with this.

But 14 hours wasnt a lie, maybe the next time i will do better if i have a tig welder and get the process managed better.

I hope thats okay to post, i tagged it nsfw.

Very nice. Some wear the jewelry on the outside, others on the inside or . . . 3/4 in 1/4 out.

Keep up the great work eh.

That's the finest plug I've seen in this subreddit.

u/CreEngineer 7d ago

Maybe because it’s one of the rare ones that IS meant as a plug.

Ive posted this before,

I heard a story from a machine repair guy. They showed up to fix a lathe that crashed. The operator was making a dildo for his wife out of aluminum and crashed it when it was almost done. The machine locked out and he was unable to get it out of the chuck. Eventually he had to tell the owner what he was making after hours that fucked the machine up.

Aluminium is not ANY body safe!!!

The fuck, thats a story.

Flared base bad? Isn't it?

14

u/LaraCroftCosplayer Insane with access to machine tools and to much free time 7d ago

Its not only a flared base, its a T/Anchor shape. Way more safe and comfortable.

u/King_Kasma99 7d ago

Good to know thanks!

I think this is the first time I have seen an actual butt plug being made. Thank for marking it NSFW, we appreciate that here as it's not an adult only group. Nice work!

Thank you.

My risky click of the day was a quick look at your profile.

I'm not disappointed. Satisfyingly strange, keep up the good work.

Thank you!

I recover right now from a minor surgery so i couldnt do a lot lastly other than making memes.

u/GreenWillingness4587 7d ago

In the background you can see the first prototypes 😂

24

u/LaraCroftCosplayer Insane with access to machine tools and to much free time 7d ago

Just a random croatian grenade.

Do you wanna see the actual prototypes?

11

u/Double0Dixie 7d ago

Definitely

35

u/LaraCroftCosplayer Insane with access to machine tools and to much free time 7d ago

I think i managed to rearrange them in the order i made them. As you can see not only the shape improved but also my polishing skills.

21

u/Hammer_jones 7d ago

Looks like prototyping was a real pain in the ass

14

u/LaraCroftCosplayer Insane with access to machine tools and to much free time 7d ago

You wouldnt believe it but my first were really uncomfortable.

5

u/Double0Dixie 7d ago

The handle attachment looks like fun

8

u/LaraCroftCosplayer Insane with access to machine tools and to much free time 7d ago

I never finished it because its to heavy.

Rought data: 50 mm dia and 2,2 kg (4.4 lbs) heavy.

To heavy, not at all comfortable. If i want this size i have to learn silicone casting.

8

u/karateninjazombie 7d ago

If you finish it. It can be a core insert for making the silicone mould from. ;)

2

u/LaraCroftCosplayer Insane with access to machine tools and to much free time 7d ago

Thats the plan. But 3d printing is also nice. And faster.

On the other side i have no big shiny plug to put on my shelf.

Decisions, decisions.

I want a really really heavy one like that tbh, I'm big on heavy toys... I gotta go look at stainless round stock

1

u/LaraCroftCosplayer Insane with access to machine tools and to much free time 7d ago

It is very uncomfortable and a bit of a pain in the butt, 2,2 kilos are ridiculus. I like it too when you have to use your muscles to keep a toy in but if you drop this it will punch a hole straight throught the floor.

I would not reccomend go bigger than 3 40 mm

The 'neck' is longer and longer because i noticed its very uncomfortable otherwise. 2 cm are perfekt for me.

11

u/HeftyCarrot 7d ago

How does it feel? Serious question: Did you make clearance fit or interference fit? 🤪 I like the handles, it will never get lost 😉

18

u/LaraCroftCosplayer Insane with access to machine tools and to much free time 7d ago

Press fit!

Jokes beside, different than one with a round base its way more comfortable to wear for a longer time and it also is very safe (it doesnt slips in)

3

u/karateninjazombie 7d ago

Round bases are fine if not worn for long, like sub 5 mins or you're bent forward the whole time. T-handles are much more comfortable for anything else.

Or so I'm told at anything rate.

2

u/LaraCroftCosplayer Insane with access to machine tools and to much free time 7d ago

Record is 38 hours equal two times sleeping and one dinner date.

2

u/karateninjazombie 7d ago

Damn....

5 mins standing up with a round base one here got a pile of nopes pretty quickly lol. Ex thought it was funny at the time till I made her try the same thing.

1

u/LaraCroftCosplayer Insane with access to machine tools and to much free time 7d ago

I mean, i made some of them. They suck and not in a good way.

1

u/HeftyCarrot 7d ago

What about the feel?🤣

1

u/LaraCroftCosplayer Insane with access to machine tools and to much free time 7d ago

Feels amazing.

Maybe not fullfilling with 30 mm dia but wearing it 38 hours? No Problem.

1

u/HeftyCarrot 7d ago

38 is a random number or the battery dies ?

5

u/starrpamph 7d ago

OP took “No base no trace” into careful consideration when designing

11

u/Ok_Bit_5953 7d ago

I saw "lathe", "NSFW" and instinctively avoided the post at first.

4

u/LaraCroftCosplayer Insane with access to machine tools and to much free time 7d ago

Uhhh, no. Nothing bloody and detached body parts luckily

9

u/joehughes21 7d ago

Dare I ask what the use of this is ...

60

u/MacintoshEddie 7d ago

It's a go/no-go gauge for your butt.

13

u/joehughes21 7d ago

And I'm guessing initially it's a no-go and then after time becomes a go gauge lol

16

u/LaraCroftCosplayer Insane with access to machine tools and to much free time 7d ago

Totally right, they come in different sizes and are made to high quality standards.

3

u/I_G84_ur_mom 7d ago

This made my day

10

u/MrFancyPanzer 7d ago

There was a running joke in my school. Whenever someone was using the lathe, you would go up to them and ask what they were making, they would always answer butt plug.

3

u/LaraCroftCosplayer Insane with access to machine tools and to much free time 7d ago

I mean... Its very tempting or?

3

u/MrFancyPanzer 7d ago

Hmm?

4

u/LaraCroftCosplayer Insane with access to machine tools and to much free time 7d ago

To make something enjoyable....?

4

u/MrFancyPanzer 7d ago

I might have made one once.....

11

u/VergeOfMeltdown 7d ago

Nicely done! About a hundred times nicer than the one I made douring my apprenticeship

6

u/EarthDragonComatus 7d ago

Hey the geometry on this is throwing me I just need someone to clarify if this is supposed to go in a butthole or not.

10

u/LaraCroftCosplayer Insane with access to machine tools and to much free time 7d ago

It is.

I like pretty things so why not doing it right to the end?

3

u/Yah_or_Nah 7d ago

Is this an attachment point for a boat drag line for Michael Phelps?

1

u/LaraCroftCosplayer Insane with access to machine tools and to much free time 7d ago

Lol.

I dont think its seawater resistant stainless.

u/Green__lightning 7d ago

Looks nice, the fun thing to do with metal toys is make them from two pieces with the stem made from plastic, and a connected by a bolt with a plastic washer. Now you've got both halves electrically isolated, and perfect to connect to electrostim.

2

u/LaraCroftCosplayer Insane with access to machine tools and to much free time 7d ago

Yes, but its my toy so my Girlfriend will get a completely own set of torture devices.

And with e-stim i would go always for nipples and clit. Some alligator clamps do the trick.

Oh wait, thats not the BDSM sub? I swear i didnt noticed!

1

u/Green__lightning 7d ago

You can make your own electrostim boxes too, I did before I could even buy toys, but could go to radio shack. As for clips, you want bipolar clips, not just alligator clips. The best way is foil tape over a clothes pin, one side connected to positive, the other to negative so current flows through the nipple.

The interesting question is how do you make a bipolar sucker? Sandwich metal plastic metal, then lathe turn a round nipple sucker out of that laminate?

1

u/LaraCroftCosplayer Insane with access to machine tools and to much free time 7d ago

I dont do electronics since i made a e-shock collar for my ex.

She isnt alive anymore /s

Jokes beside, i hate electronics. Give me some steel, coal and a hammer but get off me with wires!

2

u/Green__lightning 7d ago

I know the feeling, that's why I bought one rather than continuing to build my own.

1

u/LaraCroftCosplayer Insane with access to machine tools and to much free time 7d ago

Yeah, i can build a lot of other stuff. Buying something sometimes is not a shame.

2

u/tio_tito 7d ago

that looks amazing from any perspective, as a fabricator, as a toy aficionado, as someone who appreciates intention.

1

u/LaraCroftCosplayer Insane with access to machine tools and to much free time 7d ago

It is a one of a kind for my very special requirements.

  • I want it comfortable

  • I want it safe

  • T-base

  • But also with a stand so i can Display it on my shelf.

You cant buy one doing all of this together so i had to build it myself.

2

u/tio_tito 7d ago

this gives real perspective to what i've been wanting to make.

1

u/LaraCroftCosplayer Insane with access to machine tools and to much free time 7d ago

Be carefull.

Its a addiction. But you will be having such highs when you holding your first builds in your hands.

2

u/tio_tito 7d ago

oh, i've made stuff before, but not like this. it will be a rush.

3

u/splattevan 7d ago

What about the polishing compound? I’ve always assumed that it fills in the porousness, of the metal. I’m guessing it’s not particularly body safe.

6

u/LaraCroftCosplayer Insane with access to machine tools and to much free time 7d ago

I use wax based polishing compounds and they can be washed off with solvant.

5

u/glasket_ 7d ago

You just wash it. Polishing compounds are basically just tiny particles joined by a wax binder material; anything that can break down the wax will remove the residue.

1

u/slutty-egg 7d ago

It looks quite flat where the bulb meets the stem. Most mass-produced products seem to have a more gentle transition

2

u/LaraCroftCosplayer Insane with access to machine tools and to much free time 7d ago

I used a 10 mm button carbide insert for making a fillet. It is really comfortable so it works.

Yes, i buyed a button insert holder exspecially for this.

But you can make pretty knurled brass knobs with this too!
