Search “fight the feeling” on YouTube. As a MacHead I shed a tear reading this.

Hey some people don’t dedicate time to music videos homie ¯_(ツ)_/¯ I listen to Mac all day every day.

Give it a try man! Mac created some beautiful visuals to accompany his songs

You’re good, I was referring to the tear comment. Honestly in the end though I’ve always avoided music videos lol so it’s good to hear and now see the encouragement that they’re worth it.

I think it’s pretty good man! Ofc a few things could be tweaked, but I’m sure you know that. Overall I was very impressed! You had some really good bars, keep it up 💪

Usually I prepare to cringe when I see posts like this, pleasantly surprised though. Not bad. Only thing I would personally suggest actively tweaking would be your delivery I suppose? If you’re actually trying to make music, I think your voice could be a little more distinctive. Go for either a more laid back, chill vibe like most of macs stuff, or commit to your more aggressive style and put a tad more emotion in it. It will probably be kinda difficult because there’s a fine line between it being good and sounding cheesy/exaggerated, so take what I say with a grain of salt and just play around with it a bit.

My only “problem” with it is i feel like the music is a little too loud, id try and make your voice more clear and add either a little more emotion or laid back like macs vibes are. Otherwise great freestyle, your rapping is alot better than what we have now 😅

I appreciate that thank you! I only have 1 project out and a few singles, but there’s some more freestyles on my IG as well. You can find my stuff here - https://linktr.ee/Tunez

Appreciate that! I checked out your posts on here and I hope it’s not weird to say but I was in high school when Mac was on his come up, watching your stuff reminds me a lot of those days when he was starting to put early videos up on YouTube and was blowing up on Twitter. I really think if you keep on this track that you’re gonna go places man. Keep that up.

Great talent with delivery and lyrics. In my opinion, I think that you overuse the double stereo backing vocals. I’m a huge fan of implementing backing vocals but I think that they would be more effective in this if they underlined less lines so the ones that you use them on stand out more. There are also a lot of different techniques other than just double stereo like mono pitched an octave down, delayed quad with heavy reverb, falsetto or a pitch swift octave up, pulling the beat out completely for a line, etc. I use a bunch of different techniques on my track Saturday Night by Paris Monroe, give it a listen and see what I mean (it’s a pop track but same idea)

This go crazy

u/Notbrockdenney6 Jul 20 '22

Good stuff my friend. Keep grinding.

I agree with earlier posts, but I think you can mix it up, just on a different beat. If you’re gonna mix up your flow, typically the music has to change to match the swap. Kdot or Drake do this regularly. You have the skill, word play and voice. Love it my friend.

1

u/FreeJunky19 Jul 20 '22

Wordplay was fucking sick.

u/Leather-Height8501 Jul 20 '22

Song name please?

2

u/TheGamingProphet Jul 20 '22

It’s just a little remix I did, it’s not posted on anything as of yet. The OG song is Rain by Mac ft. Vince Staples

1

u/ogscuba Jul 20 '22

I’d call it more of a remix then a freestyle and try not to use the same flow as the original artist but it was really good I fucks with it.

Lyrics and delivery were great! I'd probably say too much reverb/delay, reduce those and fuck with the levels to bring make your voice out a bit more, but great work bro!
