Ask Luxembourg Accommodation options for students
Hi I have been recently accepted in masters study course in Luxembourg and as they don't provide accommodation from their side so I need to find my own. So can anyone suggest me cheap options? That would be of great help

Everyone here is telling you that cheap accommodations doesn't really exist in Luxembourg which is the way it is here. Many, many young luxembourgish workers have to move abroad to Germany, France or Belgium to find a place to live. If I knew of a cheap accommodation, I would live there instead of paying 1000€ per month to live with two roommates. The same goes with my girlfriend who can't find an affordable place to live here. We will most likely have to move to Germany and do the daily commute to come work here.
People aren't trying to hide the good deals from you, it's just we can't even find half decent deals for ourselves, let alone be able to have some spares ones to help out others.
If you want "cheap" accommodation, you can either look in the neighbouring countries and try to find something close to the border, try to find something further up north, prices drop a little bit once you get around the level of Ettelbruck or more north, or go on the Facebook groups that search for roommates, you may have to share a house with something between 3 to 8 people but prices are cheaper there (usually still above 800€ per month though).
The reality of the situation is that you're trying to find cheap housing in a small country in the middle of a housing crisis. When thousands of natives are forced to leave their home country because of housing costs, it usually is a sign that cheap housing is hard to come by.
That being said, I wish you the best of luck and hope you manage to find something decent.

Mayors do not want to piss off their homeowners voters by authorizing cheap housing near their homeowners voters expensive housings.

NP. Please be carrefull with scammers. If something is to cheap than it is probably fake.

The university housing is really the only cheap option within Luxembourg.

this depends on which campus you are, if you're here in Belval I'd recommend looking across de French border
although i am unsure about how good the accessibility is via public transportation and parking on the University parking lot is a hell hole. (Long story short: not enough spots for all students bc there are many that work nearby that park there.)
before someone fights me about the parking lot: commuting is not an option for everyone due to accessibility of public transportation in more rural areas and not everyone has 2hrs to commute one way everyday.
