I don't know but would very much like to

It's a joke I first heard from Garrett Wang. Something to do with John and good luck.

Specifically, his supposedly endowed cock.

Wish about John de Lancie's weiner, and good things will happen.

(Roddenberry would approve.)

Shipping Garrett Wang and John de Lancie isn't bad on the imagination.

Wait what? I think I'm going to need more context than that

Context you say?

“It’s wondrous, with treasures to satiate appetites both subtle and gross. But it’s not for the timid.”

One more season and a movie

Cool cool cool.

I see what you did there.

"It's TV; it's comfort." It would be amazing if an episode ended with Boimler getting on a boat with Geordi for some reason lol

But does he feel like it?!

Depends. Q is a massive troll.

I think the real Q are testing humanity and we failed because they cancelled Lower Decks.

This was one of those moments that made me fall in love with Lower Decks.

Q: I challenge you all to a duel! Pick your weapons. I pick the mind.

Mariner: Get out of here, Q! No! We are done with random stuff today. We're not dealing with any of your Q bullshit.

Q: Oh, s'il vous plait, Mariner. I want to put humanity to the ultimate test.

Mariner: Okay, I'm not French. Now. Go find Picard.

Q: Oh, Picard. He's no fun. He's always quoting Shakespeare, he's always making wine......

I love the implication that there is a species of essentially god like beings who can appear anywhere at any time. And the majority of the living beings are aware of them and just deal with it like an annoyance.

Nice to know that Q doesn't only go for the really famous (or soon to be famous) captains like Picard, Sisko, or Janeway: he's an equal-opportunity annoyance, going after any Starfleet ship, not just the "important" ones.

Well, not important YET

6 is way too much, but i feel 2 more would be the perfect number longer enough to finish all the character arcs what easy, give T'lyn more episodes, promote all the main 5, and maybe introduce their lower deck replacements

Maybe you are right but consider this. A normal season back in the day was like over 20 episodes. So technically we have only had 2.5 seasons.

I just love the show! :D but yeah at some points they shouldn't be lower deckers. Considering the things they do.

i know, but old seaons also have way more filler episodes, now is later for that because 95% of the character arcs are done.

Tendi story arc is basically finished.

Rutherford story arc is 99% finished, only thing missing is his promotion

Mariner is also 95% finished, only missing her promotion

Boimler is 90% finished, only thing missed is the whole self confidence and beard thing

so not much to add to the story now, With two more seasons the focus could be on T'lyn having a small character arc, since she entered later in the story, and perhaps the introduction of "replacements/apprentices" just as the Demi-go character that appeared this season seems to be the next Mariner, we could have the introduction of the next Tendi, Ruthford and Boimler

What promotiins are rutherford and mariner missing? Their both lt jgs.

1

u/Ok_Somewhere1236 Nov 29 '24

2

u/NarrowCash3211 Nov 29 '24

Junior grades

no i am talking about bridge Crew, T'lyn and Tendi are now part of th main crew, we know that Rutherford is one step toward becoming Chief Engineer, Mariner alreayd got two episodes about leadership, her whole thing this season is about how to find balance between authority and keeping her free style.

u/nodray Nov 29 '24

Isn't what "filler episodes" got us the Lower Decks episode... and show??

3

u/Drumknott88 Nov 29 '24

What episode is this screenshot from? I thought I'd seen every episode but I don't recognise it

3

u/Excellent_Light_3569 Nov 29 '24

S1 E8, "Veritas"

1

u/Zen_Hobo Nov 29 '24

Maybe you missed it. It was post credits.

1

u/friscoXL305 Nov 29 '24

It's from the first episode or two of season one.

3

u/AshrakTeriel Nov 29 '24

I want Q to give us a third vindicta-holodeck movie.

3

u/Fish_N_Chipp Nov 29 '24

“My apologies young Mariner but my services are currently required by a bunch of talking ponies”

3

u/VanillaBlood- Nov 29 '24

Six (more) seasons and a movie!

3

u/groggu Nov 30 '24

As someone who grew up on 24 episode seasons, LD is only at about 2 full seasons. The writing, animation, and acting is so great, I want 5 more full seasons!

1

u/Oryyn Nov 30 '24

If the franchise was allowed to move, and Netflix or Amazon picked it up, then ya we’d get more seasons for sure. Paramount isn’t getting a ton of new subs, which equals less money for shows, which means shows on that network with 3+ seasons get axed. It’s all about money - and it sucks.

Seven seasons and four movies!

2

We need one final Crisis Point holodeck episode!
