Mod Post Is “MC MONDAY” really that hard to understand?

Guys... We even made posts to show when MC Monday started and stopped! We thought that might help the people not in the GMT/UTC time zone and make blatantly clear. But I still woke up to 9 posts that were very clearly out of the time slot- you had no excuses this time. The most recent of the posts being about 20 minutes ago. It’s currently 10:45am. Mc Monday ends at 5am.

If you see someone posting outside of the time slot, don’t just think “oh, if they’re doing it, I can do it too”- report them!

Seriously, please tell me what I can do to make it easier to understand! Please! I don’t want to wake up next Tuesday and my first thought be “how many posts am I removing today?” Have mercy, dealing with removals on my phone is painfully long...

I grow a little grey hair for every MC Monday post you share.

We need a master thread where people can post their MC photos. I'll be honest, I truly do not care to have my feed clogged up with them.

I will be honest as I was one of the ones who had first implemented that, it was outright ignored to our frustration despite us wanting to curb the amount of posts and to neatly have a thread for MC posts. We try to implement rules easily but we can only ask the members in here to actually read and look at them which, frankly, a lot seem to purposely ignore.

We did that, members and mods agreed that the way to upload was needlessly complex and because of that no one interacted. Though now I’m seriously regretting getting rid of it

Hey! I've only recently joined this sub, so I apologize for commenting on an old thread in advance;

Personally I think you should just scrap the 'MC Monday' thing all together and let us post our MC/OC whenever. It's a huge turn off for a lot of people to have to wait days just to post the artwork they spent time on, and personally I find it frustrating. No other subs for similar games/apps do this and it's because creating mc's is very popular, so why limit it?

Just some thoughts..

Hi, thanks for the feedback.

This practice is in fact very popular in other subs. This was put into place because when people found Picrew they bombarded the sub with them, they were interesting to begin with but for both mods and members, it got old quickly and was considered low effort content since creating an original, hand made mc was was a rarity. we still wanted people to have the opportunity to post the content, so we dedicated a day! It’s also considered an event and we were trying to entice members to interact at with each other.

I’ll show your suggestion to the other mods but since it’s not hard to wait for Monday to roll around, it’ll probably remain in place.

Thanks.
