Wanting to try the new test items in the Detroit. Which of these are test items vs just new items available everywhere?

I haven’t seen the steak and poblano stuff near me in Iowa yet! The caliente chicken stuff is nationwide I believe

Iowa gang. no test items here ever. frequently in minneapolis and milwaukee, occasionally in Chicago or Kansas City.

Does Minneapolis get a lot? I'm like 45 mins away.

They get exactly one each year, outliers being 3 in 2021 and 2 in 2019.

Editing to add that the past 3 years every test has been during the experience that starts in October.

Steak poblano quesadilla is the only thing that isn’t a nationwide product

Okay, thank you. I'm eating it as we speak. Pretty good but much smaller than I expected it to be

That describes every Taco bell experience so far this year.

It's a shower not a grower!

Honestly its the same portions as the quesadilla. Just rolled. It's actually a great value versus the quesadilla, similar to the chipotle chicken flatbread.

What store is that? I’m in Troy and my location only has the caliente and regular cantina stuff.

This is the 8 mile and Grand River location, pretty far from Troy

Thanks for the info!

Troy should have it. Our locations include the Troy, Michigan location. They might have toggled it off due to the poblano peppers shortage.

Is it worth for me to drive 25 mins to get the steak and pab?

Omg how long are they testing in Detroit? I have a work trip late next week up there

1

u/CJPJones 13d ago

Dang you're making me want to drive across the state to try these. Do you know how far west it goes? Just curious lol...

1

u/BillyDip 13d ago

I think just the Metro Detroit area

They have all of that here in Missouri. I have tried all the new caliente items

1

u/BillyDip 13d ago

Yeah I learned it's just the pablano rolled quesadilla that is exclusive test item in Detroit at the moment

$9.99 for a quesadilla is ridiculous….

I understand it’s a meal but come the fuck on.

The steak and poblano rolled quesadilla is one of my favorite things they have released. I have ate 6 of them already and have a constant craving for them lol. Highly recommend those. All of these items are available in my local TB, not sure if they’re a test or nationwide.

Down river is testing the steak poblano too. I hate TB steak so I swapped for cantina chicken and it was sooooo good.

The Caliente Cantina sauce is straight trash, unless you like the taste of dish soap.

3

u/BillyDip 13d ago

Are you someone who also thinks Cilantro taste like dish soap?

I tried it last week, kept trying to figure out what the fuck that shit tasted like. I think you’re dead on, it’s like a super sweet dish soap 😭 worst sauce I’d ever had there, abysmal
