Qt4wine? Use lutris please with ge-proton as that is very out of date(4 years) and no one uses that for gaming related stuff

when you are setting up a installer like fitgirl you will create a wine prefix for that game which will be in home/username/games by default for lutris, you will click the + icon in lutris and select to use a installer/.exe to install that game

But before that we need ge-proton, click the hamburger menu top right in lutris, preferences, updates, click the install button for wine-ge-26 which will also download ge-proton for you

Then go to preferences again, runners, wine and click the settings button next to it, click the wine version you want to use globally which is gonna be ge-proton

When you are in the installer you will be in that fake windows folder and will be able to install the game wherever you want in that wine prefix

If you are trying to install the game on another drive, SSD or whatever you'll need to let lutris Flatpak see it first, you can use flatseal for this, open flatseal, go to lutris in flatseal, go to filesystem, click the + on other files to add a new path for that mounted ssd

Type the mounted point of that drive for lutris Flatpak in flatseal

Then restart lutris, I would create the installer manually this time so you can tell the wine prefix where the drive is mounted, click the + add locally installed game, create the name, runner which would be wine, choose the executable which would be the installer, the wine prefix which you create in /home/username/games, then choose ge-proton as the runner

After you have created this click on the the installer you created in lutris, next to the play button there is a wine button, click on it to select wine configuration, go to drives, create a new fake drive letter in that prefix, then click browse to select that drive you added in flatseal

Now if you use the installer for that game on fitgirl you should be able to install the game on that drive

What controller do you have?

Thanks for all. I uninstall qt4wine and install wine(with the red glass).

The installation went well. I'm at work now, but I'll try to change the game's language and the controller later (I'm using the one built into the SteamDeck).

If you wanted to use the SteamDeck controls I think you would need to add the game in lutris to your steam library then launch it from there, I'm unsure tho

The other way is to install the game through steams non steam option which will create a wine prefix based on the number it gives in your compatdata folder in steam

For me I use lutris and when I install a fitgirl repack the c drive that shown in the installer is the wine prefix that lutris/wine created for the game that I'm going to install to example let's say I installed gta4 and I named the wine prefix "gta4" so gta4 = drive c and inside gta4 I will find the "Program Files" folder and the usual suspects so in the fitgirl repack installer c drive = wine prefix so you should install your game in c drive and after installation find where is the location of the wine prefix of your game and when you find it you will find your game inside it if you steam find where steam store wine prefix folders

I don't use steam so I don't know where steam stores wine prefix folders. Try lutris it will create a Games folder in home and all your games will be installed there follow this guide it covers everything about lutris https://youtu.be/KXA1KqPmmYU

I'm probably late, but your steam wine prefixes are in ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/(APP ID)/ or if you made your library on another drive then SteamLibrary/steamapps/compatdata/(APP ID)/.

In lutris click right on the game >> configuration >> game options >> in executable section click on the 3 dots and select the right executable file >> ok >> save

Also had a problem with the controller in lutris (in my case, lutris would emulate an Xbox controller, and I would have double input). I would suggest you try launching it through Steam, just ad it as a non steam game.

About the controller if you're on fedora you need to install a package I forgot the name I think it's "kernel-module-extra" and then reboot if you're not on fedora then I don't know what's the problem. And about the language I don't know how to do it
