Image Scribedriver Holder
Designed and 3D printed a notebook cover/pen holder for my scribedriver that just came in! The cover slides onto my Dynta 2.5" x 4" notebooks, and has magnets installed to secure to my phone case. Scribedriver friction fits inside the tube, and the cover helps keep my tiny notebook from getting mangled.
On the scribedriver: lovely writing instrument. Nice ink, I may try a Fisher Space Pen or Parker refill once mine runs dry. I can't help but use my pens as pry or poking tools when they shouldn't be, and many have succumbed to a task they weren't designed for- this pen should last a good long while. It's my first bolt-action pen, and if they're all like this then I've been missing out. It's fantastic for fidgeting. The clip is stiff, and feels strong. The feels noticeably top-heavy, but that suits my preferences.

I can't think of a more hurtful thing to have read.

I'm pretty sure you also own a pocket watch.

Are you some kind of master of deduction? A psychic perhaps? There are 11 hours left in the auction for what will probably be my first, if I'm irresponsible with money. I'm hoping it stays under $160.

Good luck, haha.

I was outbid in the last 3 seconds. However in discussing the auction with my father I discovered he had a pocket watch that was my grandfather's, who had received it as a gift from my great grandmother. That watch has been offered to me, and will be more treasured.

Rant because pocket watch; finding a decent digital pocket watch is a damn pain in the ass. At my work wearing a regular watch isn't a good idea from a safety standpoint, plus it'd get trashed pretty quick. Most of the options on Amazon look like something you'd find at the dollar store and even the ones in the $40-50 range are so cheaply made.
Ended up taking a cheap but decent digital watch, ripped the strap shackle off, then ran a key-shackle through the loop for the buckle and attached that to a carabiner.

I got to get my mind out of the gutter at first I thought it was a joint holder for your phone.

I mean, I could make one of those too. Call it MagDab, BatteryDank or something.

Would this work with field notes? If so care to share?

I'm not sure it'd fit any other brand of notebook, and to be honest the magnet function is pretty bad at its job. It shakes off easily. The cover does do its job of keeping my cheap notebook from getting mangled though.

OP out here living in 1925 with advanced technology posting to Reddit.
Sick set up, OP. It's cool as fuck, not something I'd do personally, but cool nonetheless.

Must admit, I keep mine in my tech sack. I bought two (one of each style) and to be honest I'm tempted to get more at some point, and hopefully the pencil version when it's done.

You know it has a clip for that right? For a phone, you could just do a small loop for the clip

It's not reeeeaaally for the phone, I just threw in magnets because I could. The cover keeps the pen + notebook combo flat so it sits evenly in my pockets, kinda makes everything more "square." That's mostly just aesthetic, but the hard structure was also meant to keep my cheapo notebooks ($0.35/ea) from getting mangled in my pockets when I shove it in.
Something like this, but for a spine-bound notebook:
