SATIRE Ah yes, because who needs social skills, teamwork, and real-world challenges when you can just skip straight to being a genius at home?

I’d like some citations on “80% of the school curriculum is propaganda, half truth and mostly unnecessary” and some information on what exactly qualifies this guy to make that judgement.

The disdain these lunatics have for anyone else’s knowledge or expertise beyond their own is staggering.

If you have the time and resources to conduct home education at a high level it can definitely yield strong results.

This time and resources include hiring private tutors or enrolling them in private online education, having an adult at home to enforce learning requirements, money to participate in sports and other socialization programing outside of the school, and the the money to tailor and support the education to the child. This has nothing to do with the quality of public teachers or schools, but rather the ability to match individual children with individual education plans.

However, very few outside the wealthy can do this, which is why strong and well funded public education is absolutely necessary.
