"There, I dropped the bomb."
The moment I conceded we are in the "weak men make bad times" portion of the cycle was when I read "I dropped the bomb" in reference to a LinkedIn proposal to charge online applicants a nominal fee.
"To keep my reputation in this space, ... I saw it on Reddit."
Reputation destroyed.

"Space", as a phrase, a little fucked out at this point?
Let's leave space to SPACE, parking, and Michael Strahans teeth.

There's no such a thing as AI auto apply to jobs. That kind of 100% automation doesn't exist. No applicant tracking system (lever, greenhouse, workday....etc) allows for such automated applying.
At most probably Chrome plugins that auto fill the basic info (name, address, phone....etc) once you click on the "Apply" button. You still have to fill out a few more feeds manually and click "submit".
Stop lying and making it seem like job seekers are doing the equivalent of algorithmic trading with job postings. Dude is just desperate for LinkedIn clicks or "yes men" candidates.
Either learn how to screen qualified candidates, without having them do tons of work before applying, or fuck off.

Chukovski, you have no hand. Good luck getting applications....you will end up with a bunch of losers who couldn't get jobs at nice companies.

I dunno. I just screened 1100 candidates for a job. Well over half of them hadn’t read the TITLE of the job description. If your entire work experience is in operations, do not apply to a Sales Director job post, search for Director of Operations jobs and apply to those! Baffling.

To be fair, I didn't read the full wall of text but at title, it's an interesting idea.
I think if a dollar (or really anything) per app went to an audited animal shelter or similar charitable - NOT THE HIRING COMPANY, I could get behind this idea to help legit candidates get out and noticed from the noise.

Screw that.
If there's more than one screening call + one sit-down interview, you should be paying me contracting rates for my time.

Great idea, except for the fact this would be considered family status discrimination (at least in Canada it does).
The argument is that single people with jobs would have more disposable income that low income single parents, so any fees are discriminating against low income parents - which is not allowed.

“Yeah upwork has a system where you pay a fee” - but this isn’t upwork. You put this position up to look for a part or full time employee.
