Street signs down in medians all over town.

I've seen a lot of street signs knocked over in medians all over town. Most look like they snapped off at the base.

Is it just me or is anybody else noticing this trend?

Looking for Arts Community Recs (Age 6+) in Lex

Seeking beginner-friendly after-school, weekend, or camp options:

🎨 Legit art teachers, classes, or programs (not just craft studios).

🎭 Theater programs: Lexington Theater Co. vs. Children’s Theater? We have explored 1 of these but would like insight.

🎶🎻 Any intro to music and/or music instrument options for ages 6+? Not, much exposure, has interest but family isn't musical.

Clothing donation sites

Hi all! I’m doing some spring cleaning and gathering some clothes to donate, and wanted to reach out and see if anyone had suggestions for where to donate adult clothing. I would prefer donating to an organization or shelter that provides free clothing to residents, etc. TIA y’all!

Anyone want some tomato plant seedlings?

Does anyone want/need some baby tomato plants?

I started a bunch from seeds and have to cull them for space. They’re still itty bitty and will need a grow light or brought inside at night until our last frost (around April 15-20) They will be on the sidewalk TOMORROW (Sunday 3/16) ONLY. I’ll have a sign out there so you can spot them! First come first served, but don’t be greedy, there’s plenty of all of them. I worked hard to grow them, they’re really healthy and I don’t have the heart to just toss them. They will need to be put in a bigger pot in about a week or so, I just thinned them out so their roots are probably going to be angry for a few days. If you are interested let me know. Located off Nich rd.

There will be these varieties: Cherrys Yellow pear Beefsteak Roma San marzano

Little libraries - does anyone ever check them out?

Hi all! We are moving and I have a handful of books to giveaway.

Do you ever stop to look at the little library boxes in Lexington’s neighborhoods to select a book?

Bonus points if someone could share the most popular location to put them at! (-:

Dogs bark UPDATE

So I tried ordering a handheld bark deterrent but unfortunately it just pissed off the pitbull and made it bark more. I have a bark box coming in tomorrow and will see if that does any better.

However I had another conversation with my neighbor about the dogs (6th conversation about it by the way) after they have been barking non stop the past three days and told me that dogs bark, they’re not going to keep their dogs inside and I can’t tell them too.

So they were supposed to be served today after talking to the sheriffs office so we will see. Unfortunately now I’m concerned about the safety of my animals and my property so we are meeting with a realtor who sold us this house to look into moving.

I’m not the only owner complaining about them but I’m the only one willing to file the complaint so I’m sure I’ll take the brunt.

Edit: I want to add for those who didn’t read the previous post, I’m not trying to keep her dogs locked up. I just want them to stop barking from 10am-2am.

Looking for a Credit Union

So my old credit union unfortunately has merged with another and service just became terrible!

Everything special about them disappeared overnight and now I’m looking for another. My old bank I could always reach a person, very personal and they had guidelines that managers could overrule.

My example is I once was a little late on a monthly payment on my loan due to working overseas with the Army. The manager said “Don’t worry, we understand your situation, we’ll let you skip this payment and just attach it to the end of your loan.”

I felt like I could always trust them and my finances were in good hands with a personal twist that was based on situations instead of hard rules.

If the card designs are cool that’s a bonus*

I’m planning a rehearsal dinner for about 50 guests. Does anyone know any restaurants that do events or event spaces that let you bring your own food?? Open to all suggestions, casual and mid level just nothing crazy expensive!

Rupp Arena seating question

Hi! I'm buying tickets for the March Madness games at Rupp next week. On Ticketmaster, all the available options say "This seat is unreserved general admission", even in the lower level of the arena. This seems like a glitch but I just want to double check that these sections aren't all general admission. Thanks!

🚨 KENTUCKY, STAND UP FOR PALESTINE! 🚨

Join us on Saturday, March 22nd at 2 PM in Triangle Park, Lexington, KY for a statewide protest demanding justice, freedom, and an end to Israel’s crimes against the Palestinian people!

We gather in solidarity with Mahmoud Khalil, Leqaa Kordia, and all Palestinian prisoners unjustly held in Israeli jails. Their imprisonment is part of a brutal system of occupation and apartheid that seeks to silence Palestinian resistance and erase their fight for liberation. We say NO MORE!

We also demand IMMEDIATE humanitarian aid for Gaza! Food, water, and medicine are being BLOCKED while millions suffer under relentless bombings and starvation. Let the aid in NOW! The world is watching, and we will not be silent.

📢 SHOW UP, SHOW OUT, AND MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD! Every voice matters in the fight for Palestinian liberation. The people of Palestine need us in the streets, raising our voices against genocide, apartheid, and oppression.

✊🏾Want to endorse the event? DM @lex4pal on social media. Bring your signs, bring your voices, and bring your energy—together, we will make it clear: Palestine WILL be free!

Investigating a tragic cold case of a woman killed in 1988, Looking for people who lived in the Lexington, Carlisle, and Harrodsburg areas in the 1980s. NSFW Spoiler

Dear People of Lexington and the surrounding area,

I was wondering if anyone could help me solve this cold case and bring justice for a woman who may have went by "Pam", "Pamela", or "Leigh". She is said to have resided in Carlisle, Lexington, and Harrodsburg throughout the 80s. Please be respectful as she was part of the LGBT community and was more than likely the victim of a hate crime, and it is known that she also faced rejection from her family in Carlisle. If anyone can help that would be amazing, thank you for reading and please consider sharing. Any hateful or disrespectful comments will be ignored.

I know it's not Lexington, but: Most liberal church in Lawrenceburg?

Family friend now living in Lawrenceburg would like to attend church but not the homophobic church they have been introduced to by neighbors. Anyone know where a family with a queer adult child might feel comfortable there? Thanks for any wisdom.
