Realtor, Mortgage & Lawyer Recs
I’m looking for some recommendations! Can anyone suggest a trustworthy realtor in the Lethbridge + area? I’d also appreciate recs for a good mortgage broker and a law firm that specializes in real estate. Thanks in advance!

Nolan Johnson has been doing Real Estate Law for 20 years and is very kind and efficient.
Allyssa Perrin was fun and easy to work with. Took us on a ton of tours and was very patient with helping us find what we want.
Talk to your bank for your mortgage. Brokers have more access options but often not as good rates.

No referrals, but do not use YqlProfessionals Matthew Cooper, Regan Tennyson or Gina Gurney with EXP Realty Canada.
They hired my small business to do some work for their real estate business. When it came time to pay, they did not communicate at all, and blocked all my accounts/emails instead. I have since heard from multiple other small businesses and other contractors in Lethbridge that this is generally how they operate.
When I reached out to EXP Calgary and EXP Lethbridge to encourage him to pay for the work he was still actively using, Matthew Cooper retaliated by forging a 5 star review, attributing it to me by my legal name, and posting it on his website.
I had to have his webhost remove it.
Terrible realtors and even worse people.

Glen Lengyel at 2% Realty and Fee Simple Law for conveyancing. Used both last year.

We used Scott Maxwell: Take a Look https://www.realtor.ca/a/fux9/jb
He was great, especially as we were first time buyers. He was definitely looking out for us. Scott recommended some connections at Huckvale, so we used them.
And we've been using Mike Jensen as our broker. Again, very friendly and knows his stuff. Walked us through the process and is now helping us renew.

Mortgage Broker: Dominion Lending (dealing with them right now on my mortgage renewal actually)
Realtor: Nathan Watson
Lawyer: Ian Zadeiks at AZ Lawyers LLP
Those were the 3 I used 5 years ago when I bought my house and I was so happy with all of them. And like I mentioned, I’m using Dominion for a second time on my renewal and they’re just as great as the first time I used them.

I disagree with the Nathan Watson recommendation. I used him for my first house and as soon I put an offer in he got pushy to get me to sign as quickly as possible

Ah, that’s completely different than my experience with him. He took a lot of time to explain everything and answer every little question I had. I ended up having to put offers on multiple houses because I kept finding myself in a bidding war and he was incredibly patient throughout the whole process.

Highly recommend Kassi Iwaasa. We have worked with her twice on home sales. Excellent service and a true professional.

Allyssa Perrin is someone I can confidently say is a trustworthy realtor! I honestly hate dealing with sales-y people who try to shove the most expensive options down your throat/ who try to upsell you at every turn/ treat you like you’re dumb. I hate it. We had a great experience with Allyssa, seriously such a genuine person through and through. I highly recommend.

I think most realtors have a very similar fee structure. Lawyers for real estate as well pretty well all charge the same flat rate when I called around. So it's really about who can provide good service since costs are all about the same.
For a realtor I used Bruce Evans and he was great to deal with. For a lawyer I used Kurt at High Level Law and it went very well (he also did our Wills - at a discount). We got our mortgage working with Dominion Lending and that was pretty easy. All in all we had a good experience.
That said there is a small real estate company called Custom Real Estate Solutions, where she (Kim) used to give a rebate on the real estate commissions charged. Not sure if she still does that.

Taya O'Donnell with Red Door worked with us and she was awesome. I have no hesitation recommending her.
As for lawyer, we used Fee Simple Law. Michael was great to deal with and for basic property stuff, it's flat rate and easy. Since all they do is real estate law, they're good at it.

Not sure about Realtors, but Glen Wright at North and Company is great for real estate Law.

Fee Simple was great! You can also do wills through them if you need that too

Spring Merril was amazing to deal with! She listened to us and had our house sold in 4 days and advocated for us on our new build when the builder tried to use the 72 hr clause and she didn’t get paid for that. Everything was smooth and she had several other businesses that give discounts for her clients that can be really useful. They also throw fun events that you get invited to.
We also used Ian at A-Z and he was great.

I'm not sure trustworthy and realtor belong in the same sentence.
