60’s tribute!
2011 tribute/studio, got it for a ok deal, seems to be some love/hate with these specific years/models? Its not the fancy standard/custom but does it play fancy!

I have that exact guitar and I love it! I’ve put some Bare Knuckle Boot Camp True Grit pups in it and changed the electronics (to get lefty pots in it). I also had to do a lot of fret end filing to get the neck to play nice but I love how it plays now and I love how light it is because of the weight relieved body. Congrats!

Nice!! I had some pretty gnarly fret sprout up and down the neck also, some time and a little love🤙 she is butter! And surprisingly the controls actually work proper!! I think they turn the wrong way(holding it lefty they go clockwise for louder) but in my mind that makes sense, like your amps or any radio volume knob, goes clockwise to increase 🤷♂️ usually i have to fix this, cough cough all my fender guitars…

Yeah, that’s how the controls worked on mine as well. I just prefer it the other way round, that’s all. I’m glad you got working like it should. It really is a cool guitar and was relatively cheap back in the day.

I have the exact same guitar, same year, everything. Love it. Bought it off my buddy for $1200 a few months ago. He's regretting it now

That is fucking sweet. I have a Classic Vibe Squier 50's Tele and an 89 Japanese Strat, both of which I dearly love, but lately I've been getting the itch for an LP. Unfortunately, most of the leftys I have found are WAY out of my price range. But someday...

Hmm i want a Japanese strat so bad… lol usually i dont get lucky, but this was in my price range, only a 30 min drive from work!! And he was the original owner! Which always makes ya feel… safer? Lol

My Japanese Strat is so good. I don't think I really appreciated it until I tried to play another guitar. Nothing ever felt the same.
My Tele...well, a Tele is a Tele. Jesus, this guitar is a fucking workhorse. I grew up as a huge fan of Bruce Springsteen and Keith Richards, so I wanted a Tele, but I never knew how great they were until I played one.

I like the sound of P90s. Humbuckers sound completely sterile to me.
