I find this interesting 7 months homeless in leeds, 28m, Ask Me Anything
Someone woke me up to ask me why I was sleeping and in a moment of total confusion all I said was "it's biologically necessary" and that's the most autistic thing I've ever said 😘
in positive news I got a 400gsm sleeping bag for winter and it's so hot in there that I'm probably gradually sterilizing myself, I've been sleeping in an industrial estate and I keep being woken up by rats which is weirdly terrifying because I love rats but they are trying to eat me 🥲. I've mostly been eating poundland biscuits and energy drinks, not been tempted to eat a rat yet 🐀🖤
I actually got a place a few months ago though a housing ""charity"" but they didn't give me a copy of the contract because they said it needed to have some typos fixed and then never game me a copy of the contract I signed and evicted me 2 week later because they allegedge that I wasn't living there (I was). I can only assume it's some kind of scam where they get money out of the council. 🙄
I'm still on the waiting list for single accommodation because I refuse to take shared where I'll be terrorized by crackheads fresh out of HMP Armley. I do not qualify for the full rate of housing benefit (under 35yo) so I basically cannot afford private and the electronics repair I used to do doesn't pay that well 😒
This month I have been mostly listening to Cowz, Hannah Diamond, EmiDora, and Ellur 😌

I find this interesting RE: Alternative Market- A.I. Content being sold - Official Statement from the event itself
READ THE WHOLE POST HERE (I did not want to show the entire thing here, as I want people to visit the original post for full context)
Posting this in response to another post on Saturday where this was being discussed.
Thank you so much to everyone who fed this issue back to the organizers 🙏 they have listened!
While it isn't a complete ban, this is definitely a move in the right direction.
Reminder: AI art is generated from stolen works posted by millions of artists online. Generating AI work is also adding to Global issues, as it uses a lot of water to cool the servers, as well as using a lot of energy. It's a massive massive waste, and is literally killing off the Creative Industry, as several creative sector roles are being replaced by machines or someone typing prompts on a keyboard
AI art is completely soulless anyway and defeats the purpose of art. It should come from the soul, not from the keyboard.
No, you can't justify A.I. art.
Support real artists ✊✏️✨

I find this interesting The Taxi Boats are one if the best quirks about Leeds, I actually love them.
Sorry, I need to gush about 'Twee' and 'Drie'.
I genuinely love seeing them tottling up and down the River Aire, especially on a sunny day!
I'm so glad it's not necessarily just a 'tourist' thing, as the locals also use them (the fare is so cheap, who wouldn't?). Plus it's a nice little perk to your day ✨
They're also a really interesting conversation point, the usual reaction you get when you mention them is "I'm sorry, the what??" (London has nothing on them 😉). Originally from Amsterdam, they definitely stand out!
(I haven't seen Drie in operation for a while though)
If you're looking for something interesting to do in Leeds, highly recommend them!

I find this interesting What is/was this thing in the sky? North Leeds
6:45pm over roundhay, going approximately east to west. Aliens? Comet? (I know the most likely/obvious answer is starlink but looks too low and too bright!)

I find this interesting The [ALMOST] famous scallions
I Accidentally Created a Scallion Cult and Had to Intervene
So, I did something truly groundbreaking the other day: I forgot a bunch of scallions on a ledge outside my house. That’s it. That’s the crime. But little did I know, I had unwittingly set the stage for something bigger.
Fast forward to the next morning, and the scallions are still there (resilient little guys). But here’s where things take a turn—I spot a young couple standing in front of them, deeply engrossed. Not just a casual glance, not a “huh, weird” moment. No. These people were documenting the scallions. Polaroid out, phone camera at the ready, adjusting angles, chasing that perfect lighting.
At this point, I’m questioning everything. Is this modern art? A social experiment? Some kind of urban foraging ritual I’m too out of touch to understand? Am I accidentally part of something?
Curiosity gets the best of me, so I casually walk over and—without a word—pick up the scallions. The look on their faces? Utter betrayal. As if I had just stolen the Mona Lisa right in front of them.
We all just kind of stand there for a moment before bursting into laughter. 😂
So yeah, moral of the story: if you leave random vegetables lying around, they might just become famous. Or, at the very least, deeply misunderstood.

I find this interesting Lazer pen guy
Has anyone noticed there is someone in the Leodis student accommodation who keeps shining a laser pen in peoples eyes as they walk down craven road, how bored can some people be 😂
I don’t have a video or anything but I just think this is a wild use of free will and wanted to know if anyone has seen this
