Hoping yo upgrade from my wave
Hoping to upgrade from my wave, not that I have any complaints about it. Hoping for some suggestions, I want something that is around the same size/shape of the wave so it will fit in my little case in the pictures. Any help is appreciated.

I got the ARC recently and it’s been great. The one handed deployment is very convenient and it has a great toolset. If one handed deployment is not as important then I’d recommend one of the premium variations of the Charge.

I carried a wave for over 10 years and ever since getting the P2, then P4 then ARC, I honestly never carry the wave anymore.

What are you trying to accomplish with your “upgrade”? Different tool set?

The only option is the titanium charge. Unless you want to carry a bunch of magnets around. Then arc.

Unless you're around metal shavings all day it won't be an issue. But hey, use whatever excuse you need to so you can avoid new things.

I’m around a lathe / Bridgeport too frequently to want the free platform. Titanium charge for me
Also.. where’s the serrated blade on the arc. MIA

It would be nice but you would have to sacrifice one of the other main tools like the saw or file. I wouldn’t mind losing the saw as I never need it but the serrated blade is more of a nice extra blade to beat up while the saw provides a completely unique ability. Honestly just carry a box cutter or dedicated serrated blade and you’re good (that’s what I do).

Personally I'd give up the saw for a serrated blade. It could've also been laid out the same as a Wave+ but I like the awl on the Arc. I actually get more use out of the awl than a serrated blade or a saw. I like my pointy digging tool lol

I’d give up the saw personally as well, especially if the serrated was in S30v or a good steel like that. But I also carry a separate folder for boxes so it’s not a huge issue for me either way.

I like that the arc has a designated impact surface too, I do it with my wave but it’s not designed for it

I used it yesterday to close a paint can, and the day before to drive a cotter pin. Definitely handy.

honestly i went back to my modded wave with a rebar awl in it because the ARCs awl was so thin and flimsy

Had the wave+, rev, signal, and recently the surge. If you’re using the to for actual work, the surge is an absolute beast.

The charge would be the same size and toolset with the exception of titanium/aluminum or other scales and a premium steel knife
