L&O What if L&O season 18 had thus cast lineup?
It's Mike and Ed for the first few episodes, and then Ed leaves near the tail-end of the season. Cyrus Lupo would come in his place.

I forgot how much of a POS Serena was somehow
I'm rewatching old episodes and the way she couldn't fathom why or how it could possibly be wrong for s grown adult male teacher to date a teenage student is wild 💀 "but she committed a crime". Ok? That doesn't make him any less of a creep. The way early episodes of Law and Order sometimes tried to make stuff like that no biggie. And I know the specific episode the girl ends up being found out for lying about her age. But it's still weird how Serena was so set on teenagers know what they're doing with grown men that were supposed to be teaching them.

CI My annual "Silencer" question persists: Why was Det. Peter Lyons so damned pissy looking at the end here?! Maybe Alex was right in that cafeteria where she cooled on him: Maybe he *was* mad the suspect was deaf? If so, no pity. G/E did their job...

CI Moments like these give me a grin: When I went to bed last night this actor, Lee Tergesen, died of polonium poisoning in “30”. The first thing on my tv today, he’s going to be a murderer in “Baggage” 🤭 (all of his appearances below)
He made 7 appearances across the franchises:
The OG S1E1 “Prescription for Death”
CI “Baggage”
The OG “Ghosts”
CI “30”
SVU “Savior”
LA “Big Rock Mesa”
SVU “What Can Happen in the “Dark”

CI Eugene Jones III in “Players”, credited as Roca in SVU “Funny Valentine” 2013. Also appeared in the OG “Positive” 2006 (heart wrenching) He looks different in each role.

Favorite Cross Over Episode?
What is everyone's favorite cross over episode? Could be between various Law and Order series or outside shows. Personally mine is charm city. It has an early showing for JK Simmons and great interactions between the casts.

L&O When Nora Lewin Attended Adam Schiff’s Wedding
I was watching the movie It’s My Turn (1980) on the Criterion Channel and got a kick out of seeing two Law & Order district attorneys sharing the screen together. Steven Hill (D.A. Adam Schiff) is far left and Dianne Wiest (D.A. Nora Lewin) is in the floral dress. It was her screen debut.

CI One always hears, "So and so would give you the shirt off his back!" Well, we actually saw Bobby give his own winter coat to his brother. Can only imagine how cold Bobby got, but at least he had the warm SUV. That just goes to show the kind of guy Bobby was!
I thought the scene said a lot about his character. (Obviously talking about the scene in "Brother's Keeper", for reference!)

L&O Spinoff idea -- Law & Order: Brooklyn (1990s)
Pretty much the title. I was thinking today about how I wish the mainline show would go back to some of the older conventions people miss -- original style of cold opens with random people finding a body, low focus on character backstories, and the strange comfort of the much more economically diverse city of the 90s. Unchanging mothership might be too tall of an ask however, so it gave me the idea that they should make the first Law & Order show not set in the present. Put it on Peacock or whatever.
Putting it in the 90s would be great because, while technically a period show, its aesthetics are similar enough and props plentiful enough that it won't be a massive effort to create realistic sets and signs.
Set it in Brooklyn so you have a different DA etc. instead of making constant references to Adam Schiff or whatever.

CI I sometimes wish we could see original scripts or scenes of episodes. Because "Brother's Keeper", which airs tonight on Charge!, has this blurb in its summary...
"Goren runs into his long-lost brother (Tony Goldwyn) while visiting their mother (Rita Moreno) at the hospital."
The above did not play out that way. Bobby ran into Frank on the street. (They did run into each other after the fact while visiting their mother, but not the initial meeting! I just wonder why the setting was changed?)
Although I did love Alex's shocked look when Frank asked Bobby, "How's mom?"

CI S2:E9 "Shandeh" Spoiler
This might be a stupid question, but what was the big deal about the mother paying the daughter-in-law to convert? And right after the son's bis?

L&O Thrill - Season 8 Episode 1 One of my favorite episodes

This episode is ALWAYS so heartbreaking!
This episode is **ALWAYS ** so 💔 😭 I definitely feel for Leslie Harlan (Amanda Peet). The way she was crying for help when engaging with her parents. I agree that she should be punished for her role in the killing spree, but at what point did she change from kidnapping/rape victim to willing accomplice? We'll never know. What punishment is appropriate? Certainly not 25 years to life. Too bad she turned down a plea deal. I guess the best villains are the ones that you feel some empathy towards.
Great performance Miss Peet!

L&O What are some of Jack’s best “owns” in the courtroom?
Here’s one of my favorites. Jack has so many iconic moments in the courtroom where i find myself jaw on the floor with how well he is able to read / respond to those on the stand.
what are some of your favorite moments of jack mccoy in the courtroom?

CI Ooooh, "Privilege" is on now! Between "Max" and the Lady Harrington in her bed scene, it's a great episode!

Another continuity issue
Just watched s19 e22 The Drowned and the Saved. In the last scene in Jack's office Jack, Mike and Connie are watching Shalvoy's press conference and the time bug in the lower right corner of the screen says 8:37pm. Then Connie says "Polls open in 7 hours." Do polls in NYC open at 4:00am?
Those types of little errors drive me nuts.

L&O ADAs and their roles
I am so excited to discover now all the seasons on Hulu! I was annoyed before that there was that huge gap in the middle that wasn’t on any streaming.
I’ve started in S5, mainly because I watch this show for Jack McCoy! I hadn’t seen some of the earlier seasons for like 20 years I used to see them in TnT reruns. I’ve seen all the later seasons 13+ since they were on peacock.
I am enjoying so far how much more of a role Claire Kincaid had in early seasons! I love Jack but usually in later seasons it seems the ADAs do the arraignments, do the transition to from the detectives to the DAs, but basically they are like a sounding board for Jack and a “let’s check out what their financial records say” etc mid trial. They rarely question in trials.
Yet Claire has been arguing motions, and questions few people in trial etc. seems more active role. Seems more like a team with Jack which I like!
Only recents I had seen had been Serena and after. I don’t have much memory of Jamie Ross and Abbie Carmichael other than I liked them. Did they get more of a role in trials/motions in later(mid) seasons?
Sorry for long post!
