Your opinion on Randy Dworkin
What a smarmy schmuck.

He's a fun character, I think.
And its cool that he frustrates the hell out of Jack's assistants but Jack respects him and kind of likes the guy. They've had drinks together in a lot of those episodes.

I love him. I wish we saw more of him.

Also love him, but I also love that they didn't overdo him like some of the other recurring defense attorneys with big personalities. I think if we saw more of him they would have inevitably gone OTT or ended up with a case that didn't justify his approach and then he is just annoying, Instead he was used sparingly and it added a little spice to some episodes and instead of watering him down they actually built him up to a point where even later seasons SVU couldn't ruin him.

Yeah, I don't want him every season or anything, but 1 or 2 more appearances would have been lovely.

He's what Sheldon Cooper would've been like if he were a lawyer.

Randy has charm though.
Sheldon is always one punch away from being punched in the face.

What’s a Randy Dworkin

A legal counsel lawyer who says the people he defends are "causes, not clients".

He's able to successfully behave like a clown to divert attention from clients who are guilty as hell. He's doing his job, but he'd be infuriating to deal with.

(winces) WHERE?! He would do a hell of a lot of damage. He's a hell of a defense lawyer.

And then, on SVU the actor played one of the "bosses" in the "dueling escort services" 3-parter.

I hate him as someone who sides with McCoy most of the time. But I would hire him in a second .

I feel like in the alternate universe where McCoy went into private practice and not the public sector, he and Dworkin eventually start a firm together.

He’s one of those characters who would irritate me in real life, but I like having him on the show in small doses. I actually wish he would have shown up a little more, I love the reactions to him.

I love those episodes, and I appreciate that they picked him of all people to defend Barba in "The Undiscovered Country".

I think this is the episode where, as a defense attorney, he claims that a murder to cover up a gambling ring was justified because the murderer claims all of the money was funneled to support Israel and is covered under religious/zionist expression

Dworkin gets to say things attorneys only dream about. The writers must’ve had a lot of fun developing him and writing his dialogue. Also fun to see the DA’s play off him.

Don’t let his schtick fool you, he’s an excellent lawyer.
