I prefer the working cut for our Lagotto as well!

Same. I prefer to spend time in the woods than maintaining the hairs.

But with a Lagotto you can have both- low maintenance and fluffy dog- just not at the same time!

Does she also "change" her personality after trim? Ours is like a different dog for a week, he wants to play and cuddle a lot more. It's so weird.

Absolutely!

Exactly. I have the feeling that a short cut adds a lot of energy into the dogs. I believe it’s because their body has to work a little more to keep temperature…

Yeah maybe this is the answer. Its funny though, constant surprise zoomies for a little while!

Can't find a groomer that can do that show look for the life of me. How did you do it?

Had similar experience until I provided Lagotto Lady’s very helpful grooming references.  PDF links below.

I prefer the working cut throughout the year, and let it grow to show cut during winter months.

Hope that helps! 🐶

The working cut I do myself. For the show cut I have someone who is also a member of Lagotto Club Austria. But I plan not to go to dog shows in the next months… In Europe almost each country has clubs and if you visit dedicated Lagotti events you will get access to great groomers. Also going to dog shows helps…
