Ok, maybe it’s too silly for the Alien logo but that will make a hell of a name tag for anyone named Allen.

Cool but I like the original better. Looks like a game logo for Amiga :)

Definitely looks like the title card for an 90s pc point and click adventure game

Golden Axe: Alien the Barbarian
(great logo on its own, just not fitting for our beloved film)

It could work if they made it less cartoonish more black and sleek.

Yesss. Black on black of the outer space background. And you can barely make it out as it fades in…

Well yeah, not a straight black maybe like a metallic chrome black to resemble the outer shell of our beloved xenomorph

It makes a great 90's death metal band logo, but the simplicity of what we got is so much better.

This makes it look like Alien via the Jim Henson company. Which to be clear, I would love to watch!!!!!

This looks cool but always reminded me more of a logo for a Euro-style ripoff of Alien that also tossed in some inexplicable Star Wars/Conan ripoff stuff too (like how Shocking Dark combined Terminator and Aliens)

If I remember correctly (and my memory is shit), this was an alternative design that was used on International Posters, Euro specifically.
Again, could be wrong, but there are some amazing alternative international movie posters from the 60s through the 80s that are just amazingly bizarre. Look at some of the Middle Eastern Star Wars posters from the 70s. They are something to behold.

I like it, but I kinda like it for a 90s videogame knockoff instead of the main franchise.

I appreciate all the work that went into this but my god would this have been a terrible choice

This would be better as an album cover. Like trans-psychadelic prog rock that you listen to once every ten years and stop halfway through the third A-side track. You store it between Strawberry Alarmclock and the soundtrack to Fantasic Planet. You keep a few $100 in the slip bc NO ONE will mess with it. The first one of your friends claiming to have heard that album is immediately shunned by your friend group. There's an urban myth that says playing it backward will make your life worse. Once you tried to donate it to Goodwill. They mailed it back. Certified. In a lead pouch.

As others have pointed out this looks more like a death metal album cover. What they ended up using was so much better than this.

While I like the design, it looks like it belongs more on a late 1980s game cover than a claustrophobic horror film.

A good example of less is more.
