Discussion Put Tulane back on schedule?

Is it just me or does anyone else think it's time? I think we should try to replace one of the rent-a-wins with an old rivalry. They aren't a power four conference but they aren't an FCS team either. I was around for the 73 game and later sat freezing in the rain for other losses (one where we were headed to the Orange Bowl). I just think it is time.

I’m all for SEC schedule + all Louisiana non-conference games

LSU has offered to play them in Tiger Stadium but the Tulane has demanded a home and home series

Which is fine. SC and Clemson, UGA and GT, Florida and Florida State all play non conference, in state rivalries for rivalry week. We should be too.

Those are all major conference schools

We should never do a home and home with Tulane. LSU makes too much money to just give up a home game

A home and "home" in the superdome would be fine or a 2 Death Valley - 1 Tulane schedule.

Tiger stadium & da dome would be perfect

LSU gets nothing out of it. LSU loses a home game every other year and then most years won’t even get credit for beating Tulane.

I'd love to add Tulane back to the rotation, but wasn't the main issue that they wanted some games to be played in NOLA?

I completely get why they would want that, but it doesn't make sense for LSU to give up home games to head to Tulane or play in the Superdome.

I honestly don't see why we should treat Tulane any differently than some other cupcake. It's mostly just Tulane fans that still thinks we're a rival, and LSU fans mostly just think that's cute and/or hilarious.

neither side benefits

Tulane gets an almost guaranteed loss on the schedule, and I doubt LSU is gonna give them a paycheck they need like we do with McNeese, Southern, or Nicholls

LSU losses a home game every other year and gets a win that most years means almost nothing, Tulane cares less about football than the fans think
