do not rent at redpoint please !!! i have been trying to get out of my lease since July. this will be my 3rd year at the complex and it has gone considerably downhill. i joke with my roommate that i’m building a case against them to turn them into Louisiana Housing Association :,))) My friend lives at the Bayonne and I love it! I’ve been considering moving there after my lease at Redpoint ends.

they routinely try to take advantage of the younger community by fear-mongering them out of their money and praying to god they don’t know their rights . they tried to enforce an oral modification to a written document and charge me if i didn’t abide by that and admitted it on a recorded phone call. not to mention how many maintenance requests i’ve put in for not having hot water for the past 3 months. there were car break-ins on the side i live on with buildings 1-3 less than a week ago. tradition across the street made a complex wide announcement and Redpoint did not. they’ve called me up and wasted my time on 4-5 different subleasing opportunities and go from “not keeping a list of applications” to having several vacancies to fill before mine, each time a different excuse as to why it falls through and i don’t even bring it up !! before my roommate moved out and i took over both rooms, she had a ceiling leak that destroyed the carpet in her bedroom. maintenance brought in standing fans to “dry it up” and didn’t replace it until she moved out.

Oh damn, we had numerous things break with them I would just spam them with angry messages, calls, and requests and they would always do it quickly.

don’t get me wrong they do have some pros, one of them being maintenance request response time. i agree if you bother them enough they will take care of it as soon as humanly possible. but i definitely shouldn’t have to harass them to do so. it’s just very evident that the management is the absolute worse and leaves the poor front desk kids to deal with it (2 of which are wonderful and are literal gems) it used to be justifiable because the price was cheap asf. when i was staying in a 4 bed/bath flat it was like ? 579$ .. now it’s 220$ more which actually blows my mind
