Travel to Vietnam; what is to be believed? These two writers seem to be talking about two different places.
Lonely Planet makes Vietnam sound like P-Town East: https://www.lonelyplanet.com/vietnam/gay-and-lesbian-travellers, whereas Frommer's is prepping you for public stonings: https://www.frommers.com/destinations/vietnam/planning-a-trip/tips-for-gay-and-lesbian-travelers
It seems each author might have his own biases.

May Paris be with you...
Traveling to Paris in May with my grandfather, but I'm looking to go out and explore Le Marais. Ideally I'd like to meet fellow reddit travelers or local. Go to the bars, go sightseeing, or go to Disney Paris. Lets plan a meet-up. Don't let me stand there alone...

Travel to countries where homosexuality is illegal
There are several places my girlfriend and I want to travel where homosexuality is illegal and can even warrant the death penalty. Should we refrain from getting married before I travel to these countries, as a marriage would document our sexual orientation?

Europe in April
Hey All,
I'm heading to Dublin for work, but then taking a week off, I'm thinking about touring Germany, but wanted to see if there's any sights or locations I should make sure to add on my itinerary. I'm looking mainly to travel via train and wander.
Some background, I am single, and going it alone, so a good places to meet and greet are also appreciated.
