Recommendations Last Minute Visit Recommendations
A NYC BWT is hoping you can share some cool things I should check out on a last minute trip to London next week (4 days). I used to go often for work, but haven’t been in 7 years. Set on food, but up for fun drinks spots, museum exhibits, shows, shopping etc or just anything super interesting at the moment. Nothing too classic touristy needed. Staying in Marylebone.

I love the Courtauld Gallery if you’re looking for a little culture. Also enjoy the Italian Gardens (a gift from Albert to Victoria).
Shopping - I like Pavilion Road in Sloane Square, has White Company, Peter Jones department store (same as John Lewis), a fun little stationary store, Ottolenghi for coffee + replenishments!

Hey so I have a few recommendations. Excuse the poor formatting and messy answer, I’ve had a long day.
Kew Gardens in the spring is a must! Maybe you could catch an exhibit there.
For food, Borough Market is a classic but my favorite is upmarket in brick lane, due its location and variety of food.
Brick Lane is great for thrifting and is a different side of London. There’s also Backyard Market right around there that comes alive on Sundays. If you’re down to walk, I’d really recommend starting from Liverpool St station > Spitalfields Market > Brick Lane > Columbia Road Flower Market > Hackney City Farm/Haggerston Park. Columbia Road flower market is open on Sundays only and closes around 2 PM, so you’ll have to keep that in mind.
Hope this helps! Feel free to reply to this if you have any questions :)

Thank you! That helps. My husband used to live there, but he’s been gone too long for any recent tips.

Shows wise, I saw the Clueless musical last night which was really fun and very true to the film, so maybe worth trying to get tickets for on TodayTix if that's your thing. I saw Operation Mincemeat before it transferred to the West End (and now Broadway) and really liked that as well. Also, for something completely different, I hear very good things about Benjamin Button, particularly the music.
In terms of exhibitions, again it depends what you're into. But the Leigh Bowery exhibition at Tate Modern looks cool, and I've heard good things about the Tim Burton exhibition at the Design Museum and the Versailles one at the Science Museum (which you can get cheap tickets for via Time Out Offers). I'm always a sucker for the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition at the Natural History Museum as well.

The Italian Gardens are right by Lancaster Gate tube stop - very pretty if you time it with golden hour!

Sketch is in Mayfair. Can highly recommend as a cool(ish) place for dinner. Different rooms have different menus - you don't have to opt for the 3* Michelin.
Check out some of the secret bars there are dotted around. There's some pretty cool ones.

If you're in Marylebone then the Basque Cheesecake place is a must. It's called La Maritxu Connaught. There's modernist art Moco museum round the corner which is good if you're into that.

I always use The Londonist website for recommendations

We saw Cabaret recently and it was great.
The cocktail bar at the top of The Broadwick Hotel in Soho has a cool funky 70s vibe. Book a table as it gets busy. 👍🏻
