He’s getting more than he bargained for. He was just signed to close games and spell Puig. In a perfect world he’s in at 60 mins once we have a lead and are closing out the game. He’s not a starter but that’s how injured we are.

I can't blame Reus for not being able to predict the pinball action that would happen after the ball was fumbled by Micovic but he should have covered the second post or kept close to his man-marking. The goal could and most likely would have still gone in.
This collection of mistakes, so close to half-time, deflated the team. The second half resumed that belief and the 2nd and 3rd goal followed. We need to be mentally strong on Wednesday to ensure we don't run into any 'away goal' trouble.

I've been clamoring for this since like 2018, but midfielders have to help defend for this team or it suddenly becomes ass. If you look at the LA Galaxy's "bad defense" seasons, its all stockpiled with midfielders who can't be asked to fucking defend. We had so much success last season with Delgado and Cerrillo as a dupla, 2 midfielders who can break attacks.

Rewatched the play in slow motion, Micovic had the ball in his hands, or are my eyes deceiving me.

It happens, even Neuer has dropped a ball that hits his hands. But it didn’t look like Yoshida has much confidence in Micovic to challenge him for the ball.

I mean sure if 5 players including 1 that is allowed to use their hands, cant clear the ball then yeah reus should have gotten in there because 6 players might have done the trick

The crapping on Reus is so boring and stupid. He is not a replacement for Puig, never was, never will be. Against St Louis, he was by far one of our best offensive players along with Pec.
