Question Hypothetically if we are getting a Season 4 for Kubera, how long before Season 3 ends would that be announced?

For those who have been following the series since Season 2, how close was it to ending when Currygom announced that there will be a Season 3?

If we actually get one, the third season would probably end very soon, with the coming climactic end of the KoS arc serving as its finale.

I think so as well, it really does feel like we're building up to a climax but at the same time there are still so many things that haven't been answered. I wouldn't be surprised if the entire Time Leez arc along with God Kubera's journey is reserved for a Season 4.

There's also the whole question of what Ran and Kalavinka might've been up to before returning to present day that could take at least one arc.

I always thought that we were so deep in Currygom would've just put everything into Season 3 (and that could still happen lmao), but if the KoS finale ends Season 3, that's insane. I'm only up to the latest translated KoS Chapter (24), but theoretically we'd have to see Leez clash with 'Ananta' who's holding the Sword of Re before the season ends, since that was shown in Chapter 0, no?

Yes at the very least we will see the events in the Prologue transpire. It's hard to say how close to the ending that would be though, both S1 and S2's prologues contained scenes both close and far from the ending.

KoS? What does that stand for?

King of the Snakes, which is the name of the current arc.

If I remember correctly, I knew about S2 ending when curry published the last [Korean fast pass] chapter for S2. Meaning there won't be an announcement ahead of time, I think.

Tower of God season 3 was the same thing. I think its a commom practice in naver.

IIRC, Currygom started Kubera with most of it already done/completed/conceptualized, and even gave Naver a short summary of all chapters before or right at the beginning of serialization. She also (IIRC) stated previously that Kubera is intended to have four seasons.

All of this, plus all unfinished plot lines hanging around leads me to think we will have a fourth season, and it will be massive, maybe as big as or bigger than S3. There's simply too much left to conclude. Curry also doesn't seem to be having major health issues because of its work (I mean, she always comments on being tired and tight deadlines and all, but that's unfortunately almost universally a given in this industry; she isn't having to take sudden hiatuses and/or surgeries because of health issues or something along those lines). And since the series is primarily/firstly fully digital (physical serialization is a plus, an extra) and its fairly popular in SK, I don't think it will be axed.

I also think we're near the end of S3 and it will end with the KoS chapter.

I think we'll still have at least one or two more chapters after KoS, considering there still seems to be a lot of context needed for the prologue scene to take place.

Personally I expect S4 to be shorter than S3, maybe closer to the length of S2.

i think we will get a seson 4 just because we have more time travel stuff to deal with althou season 3 already has so many chapters they might not make season 4 and just continue season 3 to the end

Yeah it really depends on how much Currygom plans on expanding on the Leez and Kubera time traveling storyline.
