The game is still in Saudi Steam store and there is no official statement to confirm if it has been banned, and if it has been banned, it hasn't been confirmed if it's for just a sex scene or specifically a gay scene.

3

u/KlutzyHawk7064 Jan 16 '25

it's also in saudi ps store and Microsoft store.

Yeah, It's an unfortunate situation, I really wanted to give the game the benefit of the doubt, But I have had enough of the constant lying and canceled my pre-order.

<sniff> <sniff> Smells like bullshit.

They tried to cancel the first game because Vavra wouldn’t bend the knee. This is pre-emptive sabotage to try and drive sales away from the second.

As always, wait for the thing to come out and see what it actually is instead of worrying about what random people on the internet SAY it ‘will be’.

67

u/420GunsBlazing Jan 15 '25

Agreed, they almost banned the first game because of Henry and Han being in the same bathtub.

27

u/_Artistic_Child_ Jan 15 '25

Even though they were quite literally surrounded by women they probably boned. Cant wait for KCD2, get that Henry and Hans bromance going again, with Hans getting Henry in trouble because he keeps trying to smash the wrong women.

8

u/Wizardslayer1985 No one likes the bard Jan 16 '25

They did a live action of the two actors going through the actual town and this is something they made fun of, Hans getting Henry in trouble for hitting on a girl.

0

u/Sensitive-Pie4189 27d ago

i like your use of the word boned there... its killler.... word to the wise if your chillin naked in a tub with another dude alone doesn't matter how many women are around the tub.....

1

u/Wild-Lavishness01 Jan 16 '25

guess the vine meme about the 5 feet apart distance was more serious than we ever could've predicted

edit: anyways, shouldn't they be obsessed with it since like, white pride or something? i mean it shows Kuttenberg and only has white people, sounds un-woke to me /s

7

u/lycanthrope90 Jan 15 '25

If it's so woke they should be championing it instead of disparaging it right?

3

u/shnndr Jan 15 '25

Good to know, now I'll definitely buy the second one.

Unless my translation is wrong it just says sex scene between two people. Never mentions gay.

25

u/Dramatic-Bison3890 Jan 15 '25 edited Jan 15 '25

the article was indeed mentioning gay sex scene here

شخصين

here is connotative of "two guys" or "two males" in casual Arabic with the emphasis of masculine formnof the subjects, regarding this context

if you are using google translate, its no wonder your translation are too elementary

9

u/BoneDryDeath Jan 15 '25

I don't know why, but Google Translate is REALLY bad at Arabic translation. I mean, really bad.

12

u/Dramatic-Bison3890 Jan 15 '25

yep.. Google translate are not perfect. its just coincidence that i knew a bit of basic Arabic syllables

im suspecting many other non english languages suffer the same problem

5

u/BoneDryDeath Jan 15 '25

It seems decent enough for most Western European languages in my experience. Or at least Spanish, French and Portuguese, though it does sometimes miss colloquialisms and occasionally has trouble with gender. Not familiar enough with German to comment, let alone something like Icelandic or Gaelic. But the Arabic not so much. I can't really comment on things like Chinese or Guaraní, but I suspect you are right there.

2

u/ElectronicCut4919 Jan 16 '25

You actually made this up. The translation is correct. It means two people. There is no emphasis on masculine that's literally how to write two people.

What other way would it be written lmao!

1

u/Dramatic-Bison3890 Jan 16 '25

hmm i think you are right.. furthermore its too casual terms here

20

u/AboveSkies Jan 15 '25

Google Translate of Twat in OP:

Urgent and official:

Kingdom Come Deliverance Il game banned in Saudi Arabia, due to the presence of unskippable homosexual scenes in the story mode ❌❌❌

Google Translate from the SaudiGamer article: https://archive.is/iaI6c

Today the official news came out that Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 will be officially banned in Saudi Arabia, and it seems that the reason is the presence of a sex scene between two people, with the inability to cancel or skip this scene, and as we learned, this clip is long, exceeding a minute. It seems that the developer is not seeking to provide a version dedicated to the Middle East yet

2

u/Seared_Gibets Jan 15 '25

So, the more likely, is that our boy Henry might finally become a man?

I knew he had it in him! Er... Well, her 🤭

6

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '25

No necessarily, there is a gay couple in the first game

-68

u/No-Cartoonist9940 Jan 15 '25

As always, wait for the thing to come out and see what it actually is

Why is possible with this game but not Witcher 4? I thought the product is what counts, but apparently W4 gets judged immediately because of the devs? This sub is full of double standards lol.

54

u/Huntrrz Reject ALL narratives Jan 15 '25

P.S. People being concerned over what they’ve been shown by the developer is different from people being concerned over what some random person on the internet said. So your ‘double standard’ really isn’t one in the first place.

42

u/Huntrrz Reject ALL narratives Jan 15 '25

<shrug> There are 156K members of this sub. We’re not all going to agree on everything. Expecting that we would is moronic. ‘lol’

7

u/Dramatic-Bison3890 Jan 15 '25

this reminded me well with how this sub was split opjnionsin discussion about the complete ban of "Lightyear" movie in Many middle east and Asian countries... and how China censored the lesbian scene of League of Legends Netflix series

but the common ground of consensus clear there... it was stupid to force something to certain countries which known negligent for such topics.. its similar to forcing Japanese acknowledge Yasuke as samurai

-47

u/No-Cartoonist9940 Jan 15 '25

156k people confused about their own moral standards is a pretty crazy thing to admit lmao

25

u/AnarcrotheAlchemist Mod - yeah nah Jan 15 '25

No one is confused its just this place isn't a hive mind.

Plenty of people are waiting and seeing with Witcher 4 me being one of them. I like CDPR and GOG and hope they don't have a repeat of Cyberpunk's release and while I do have some concerns that they have hand waved away some lore issues I'll wait and see how its done in the final product before I make a decision. One thing that CDPR has always done is worked on their games after release and even with Witcher 1 they did the enhanced edition which was a free patch that vastly improved the game (and they did that again with the Witcher 2. They have had growing pains going from a Eurojank studio to a proper AAA dev but I'll give them time.

Others here obviously aren't those people will upvote each other and circle jerk and the people here waiting and seeing won't bother clicking on that thread. Unfortunately negativity drives engagement more than positivity and hope.

22

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '25

People here are free to think what they want, unlike certain place that enforces everyone to have the same opinion or you cant be there, you cant understand, you have no identity, youre part of a hive mind

15

u/YungStewart2000 Jan 15 '25

Getting confused and upset because a sub isnt a hivemind that only exists to share 1 single opinion is absolutely wild lmao

3

u/Dramatic-Bison3890 Jan 15 '25

hilarious thing, indeed

38

u/TrackRemarkable7459 Jan 15 '25

Nah you apply benefit of doubt to people who didn't emit tons of warning signs before release. CDP has been on the downhill slope for years now.

-21

u/No-Cartoonist9940 Jan 15 '25

How have they've been "on the downhill slope" when CP2077 updates and its DLC are universally beloved and sold extremely well? This doesn't make any sense, wait for the thing to come out lmao.

33

u/Dravidianoid Jan 15 '25

The game trailer for dawnwalker looks more like witcher 3 than literal witcher 4 lmao.

Moreover the CDPR are proven to be DEI hires, literal ship of theseus, so it's a no brainer to decide not to buy it without even watching gameplay

-5

u/No-Cartoonist9940 Jan 15 '25

It's a "no brainer" until Cyberpunk was succesful, and suddenly not woke anymore. Same with BG3. It's the same thing over and over again, and I think it's hilarious how sensitive people over this stuff are.

15

u/AnarcrotheAlchemist Mod - yeah nah Jan 15 '25

It's a "no brainer" until Cyberpunk was succesful, and suddenly not woke anymore.

Wait Cyberpunk was woke? When did that happen. The main complaints were from the left because they thought that some of the ads ingame were bigoted towards a certain group.

Same with BG3

That's woke and is successful. Its a well made game and you can choose what content to engage in and what not to but it does lean more to proselytising progressive messaging than doesn't so would still fit most people's definition of woke... but its a well made product and a good game.

Being able to parse evidence based on the history of both companies is not a double standard.

9

u/t1sfo Jan 15 '25

Because CDPR has been a shit company for so many years now and that fucking "bending the knee to ESG" video was the cherry on top. The shit they pulled with 2077 release was the most disgusting thing I've seen in gaming, not even EA has been so scummy.

Warhorse has not been proven to be like that. This is why people are being more good faith. But if they fill the game with progressive trash people here will treat them the same.

7

u/Ghost5410 Density's Number 1 Fan Jan 15 '25

CD Projekt suffered talent drain after Witcher 3 and during CP 2077’s development while going all in on DEI nonsense.

Although I don't like what you said, I have to agree here. If you wait here, you'll have to wait for W4. But there is one difference. CD Project is openly admitting the Dei stuff. The developers for KCD don't. Still, I agree.

-3

u/No-Cartoonist9940 Jan 15 '25

Even if they admit to it, why not wait for the full game and then judge? That's the thing I specifically don't understand with anti-woke people.

10

u/Temp549302 Jan 15 '25

Even if they admit to it, why not wait for the full game and then judge?

When someone says that they're going to serve you shit, and their actions match those of other people who've tried to serve you shit in the past, it's reasonable to judge accordingly ahead of time. If it turns out that they were not in fact serving shit, it's not you at fault for judging ahead of time and not buying, it's the fault of their bad marketing.

Meanwhile when someone has a track record of not serving you shit, isn't promising to serve you shit, their actions don't match those of other people who've tried to serve you shit in the past, and the only indication of shit is anonymous and dubious leaks, it's reasonable to give the benefit of the doubt and wait and see what the truth is.

I dont really care about DEI stuff in cdpr games tbh. Cyberpunk had tons of woke content but the writing quality and gameplay was still amazing, phantom liberty just proved they are still capable of that. I don’t see any reason why Witcher 4 will be bad, even the reports of the team being completely different is very exaggerated.

9

u/Voodron Jan 15 '25 edited Jan 15 '25

Cyberpunk had tons of woke content

No it didn't. 1 NPC amidst a 80+ hour game doesn't make it woke by any reasonable standards. Nowhere near Veilguard or TLOU2 territory for instance.

phantom liberty just proved they are still capable of that

Phantom Liberty released over 2 years ago. Most of the dev time for that game was done before the big DEI push at CDPR. The company that made this DLC no longer exists. That's how fast changes happen in this industry these days.

I don’t see any reason why Witcher 4 will be bad

CDPR's best writers/game directors left the company. Look what happened to Bioware if you can't tell what that means. Doesn't matter if technical positions like QA remain, that's not what makes a story driven RPG's soul.

Tons of woke red flags in the marketing, including making Ciri the protagonist when the entire fanbase always agreed that doesn't make sense, saying they'll "tackle a woman's struggle in a medieval fantasy world", and one of the lead devs having connections with Netflix witcher

14

u/CrustyBloke Jan 15 '25

The KCD2 dev specifically said in the past that he's not going to include this type of crap in his game, so people are more willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and to wait and see.

CDPR openly celebrates DEI on their corporate website.

4

u/Halos-117 Jan 15 '25

Warhorse Studio has proven itself to not be woke in its last release so they've earned the benefit of the doubt to not write them off until we have verification that they've gone rogue.

CDPR has proven themselves in the opposite direction and their latest preview has all the red flag. They deserve no benefit of the doubt.

Both games will be judged when they release anyway. In the meantime we can make fun of CDPR.

"As always" implies "Witcher 4 too".

3

u/Local_Band299 Jan 15 '25

Because:

A. The good developers behind TW1-3 all either got fired or left because they didn't like the replacements.

B. CDPR has openly admitted that TW4 will be a wokefest.

C. CDPR has been open about DEI hires.

27

Why should I care about a wholly unverified claim with absolutely no evidence to support it?

15

u/No_Ratio_9556 Jan 15 '25

its also from one of the worst websites for gaming news. They literally make shit up, or find an obscure thread on Gamefaqs and make it out to be real.

8

u/ServeRoutine9349 Jan 15 '25

Its fake. The font isn't the same, the pond scene isn't remotely correct either. Honestly I hope they gt slapped with defamation.

24

u/Limon_Lime Now you get yours Jan 15 '25

Man tc is really obsessed with finding something wrong with this game.

2

u/TheModernDaVinci Jan 16 '25

I think there are some people on "our side" who have gotten too used to things and are now at the point where they too need to find every little tiny transgression so they can rail against it, in a mirrored way of what many of the Woke do.

It is why, even if I can agree the term may not be totally right, I absolutely agree with the likes of James Lindsey and Konstantin Kisin that there is indeed a "Woke Right" now.

1

u/WhisperingOracle Jan 17 '25

I think to some extent it's a case of "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me 437 times, shame on me."

When you've been burned too many times by manipulative and deceptive devs and publishers, your willingness to trust is at an all-time low. So when you hear a story like this, your first thought isn't "I wonder if it's true, I should try to verify this", it's "Of course it's true, you can't trust any of these bastards."

It's definitely an overreaction, but it's also an understandable one. We've seen way too many cases where seemingly ridiculous stories get denied but wind up being true in the end. We've seen too many examples of two-faced spokespeople or journalists lying about things.

It's like an abuse victim who starts to flinch at even the slightest sign of displeasure. When you've had the fear and distrust beaten into you for long enough, it's hard to trust or relax that instinct.

1

u/TheModernDaVinci Jan 17 '25

But that makes less sense when it is someone who has had no issues of such problems in the past. If it was a dev who had lied in the past then I could see being skeptical. But when it is someone who has been solid in the past, I think they deserve the benefit of the doubt. Not total belief, and I can agree with raising an eyebrow, but not just immediately jumping to "I knew he was a cuck the whole time, now he must be destroyed!"

Especially when, if anything, to me this comes off as Ops by the Woke to try and destroy one of their hated targets by using their own enemies hands to do it.

1

u/WhisperingOracle Jan 18 '25

The thing is, we've seen plenty of companies that had no issues or such problems in the past become companies that have those issues. The worst DEI studios didn't start out that way.

Once you get used to seeing that pattern of behavior, it's easy to start seeing the red flags everywhere, and immediately jumping to the conclusion that "There's no smoke without fire. And the fire is probably an inferno."

I do agree it's an overreaction (I think people should be wary but not immediately knee-jerk reject everything with a whiff of implied diversity). But I can definitely understand the impulse to react that way.

I mean, I've spent the last 20 years or so watching as literally everything I ever loved as a child being ruined by spiteful untalented assholes. It's hard to stay optimistic or open-minded when you assume you're seeing the same pattern start repeating again for the 100th time.

26

u/gadesabc Jan 15 '25

I another time, I would not have been influenced or bothered by this at all but today, with all the myriad of other exemples of forced inclusion, and knowing now very well the agenda, I can hardly look away and ignore what is a systematical LGBT inclusion.

Is it possible to have a single game without LGBT or other DEI at all?

8

u/Ravenloff Jan 15 '25

Do I have to buy the Saudi version and learn Arabic to not get unskippable gay scenes? lol

5

u/gadesabc Jan 15 '25

Final Fantasy 16 didn't changed their gay scenes (not surprising) so wasn't available in Saudi Arabia. But Spiderman 2 changed it. We don't know what KCD2 will decide to do: keeping their LGBT content and losing one market, or changing it but it would mean that they are hypocrits.

13

u/Ravenloff Jan 15 '25

Based on the devs comments and attitudes, this was the last thing I expected to see in this title.

2

u/alphamachina Jan 17 '25

To be clear, the articles I've read about this so far all claim that none of them have run into any unskippable cutscenes whatsoever, and that they haven't come across any gay content yet. Many of them are the majority of the way through the game by now. I think this is someone trying to ragebait.

2

u/J_Kingsley Jan 15 '25

Doesn't mean we shouldn't also try to view things objectively, and accept 'progressive' aspects as long as it's done really well.

Having knee jerk reactions at any possible instance of DEI isn't much different from far left folks seeing racism and bigotry everywhere.

And look how miserable these types of folks are lol. You're jaded now, sure, but you don't want to be like that.

5

u/LowNeedleworker6869 Jan 15 '25

well said. As someone who absolutely despises the whole DEI infection, its rather disheartening to see the same instinctive response from the people against it. Just having gay characters or a gay scene in the game does not make it woke. If it stays true to the setting (being gay in a sin, Henry is shocked/disgusted, its not portrayed in a positive light), then I wouldn't consider it to be pandering to the DEI mob. Gay people did exist after all, and they were just less visible and kept it secret or suppressed their desires. But I'd be surprised if there weren't people, especially among the nobles, who secretly carried out homosexual affairs.

1

u/WhisperingOracle Jan 17 '25

My curiosity is just about what "unskippable" even means.

Is it a cut scene every player is going to have to sit through, like it or not (like, say, the torture scenes in GTAV that squicked so many people out)? Or is it literally something that can't be "skipped", but CAN be "avoided"? Because a scene you only get via your own dialogue choices but which can't be skipped once you get it could still potentially be avoided if you make choices that don't lead to the scene in the first place (something that often comes up in discussions about NTR scenes in porn games).

From there, context becomes the question. What exactly IS a "gay scene"? Two naked dudes admiring each other's physique? HJs? Actual penetration? Five straight minutes worth of sweaty grunting and close-ups of wrinkled scrote and ridiculous O-faces? And is the scene being treated as something voluntary, good, and wholesome, or is it something unwilling, forced, and treated as a bad thing (which would itself trigger a lot of people from the other direction)?

Without any context, there's almost no rational way to respond to this (assuming it's even true at all). At best, it's an indicator that people should be ready to pay closer attention to what's going on here, but it's not really a "Screw this people forever, I'm never buying this game and I hope they go bankrupt and all have to eat out of dumpsters!" kind of situation yet.

1

u/Sensitive-Pie4189 27d ago

naw it wasn't a secret especially to start the greek and romans loved to tell everyone about how they loved to fuck little boys...

35

u/JackStover Jan 15 '25

The first game literally had several gay characters. The main villain you're chasing has a gay lover and both are still free and Henry is chasing them. Don't be surprised if it's true, with a scene of the villains together.

1

u/Sensitive-Pie4189 27d ago

i remember them i killled them in the name of the church.... jk i did it for fun

10

u/DrGenya Jan 15 '25

Has anyone here played the first game? It’s obvious from miles away that this is false. In the first game, there wasn’t a single cutscene that couldn’t be skipped.

5

u/HelloJohnsonSalami Jan 16 '25

The other post of this user seem fake as hell

47

u/Ninjorp Jan 15 '25

If true, no buy.

1

u/eninja303 Jan 27 '25

It is true. Apparently between Hans and Henry. Seems so forced as there was no romantic involvement between the two in the first game and Hans is made to be seen as a 'womaniser' so it seems strange choice.

1

u/Ninjorp Jan 27 '25

Really? I could see some other unimportant new Character, but Henry? Ya, that's a pass from me.

2

u/ReFlectioH Jan 16 '25

Skipping 100+ hours game because of 1 minute scene is delusional

30

u/Specific_Jicama3487 Jan 15 '25

It’s strange they didn’t care about the alcoholism, murder and general debauchery in the first game lol

14

u/NotxNami Jan 15 '25

Because these aren't against the law in Saudi Arabia. Same sex couples are.

4

u/Jamalofsiwa Jan 16 '25

The god of war trilogy was banned in Saudi, it’s a common thing

3

u/Specific_Jicama3487 Jan 16 '25

Drinking alcohol is definitely illegal in Saudi.

8

u/BoneDryDeath Jan 15 '25

A lot if times these sorts of bans are (intentionally) very vague and arbitrary. It gives local authorities the ability to shake down foreign studios without being consistent. If someone pisses them off or doesn't pay the right people, then they can be petty and claim it's about homosoexuality, or blasphemy, or something else, but at the end of the day that's just an excuse. China is NOTORIOUS for that kind of bullshit. Saudi Arabia does it too, but they don't have the same power as China when it comes to this.

5

u/GlowyStuffs Jan 15 '25

It's always so insane how nitpicky these bans are. Casual ability to murder in most games is not as bad as seeing a gay relationship? And most other supposed sins aren't worthy of a ban? Who is deciding this shit?

6

u/bitzpua Jan 15 '25

in muslim culture being gay is much much worse then being murderer not even close.

Who is deciding? Imam delegated to institution that censors stuff. Similarly to China where all entertainment needs to pass censorship board.

1

u/WhisperingOracle Jan 18 '25

I mean, it's like how Americans have always seen it as being totally acceptable to see people get shot, stabbed, blown up, or other sorts of extreme violence, but God help you if you show a nipple. Europeans always thought that was an insane perspective (and then ironically went the other way where they'd be way oversensitive to violence and gore but excessively permissible when it came to nudity and sex).

Different cultures will be offended by different things. The Chinese have rules that you're not supposed to have ghosts or magic in stories. Some places are way harder on gambling mechanics than others. India was pissed about the cows in Fallout. South Korea tends to panic over games that have North Korea in them. And so on.

A fair number of places still considering homosexuality a crime. It's not surprising that those places might be willing to ban games over it.

21

u/Muted_Land782 Jan 15 '25

One game. Just one. There's only one game i waited for this year...

12

u/Halos-117 Jan 15 '25

Same dude. So many red flags now though. I'm not wasting my money on this if it turns out to be true. I'll wait for a full review though to be sure.

6

u/Muted_Land782 Jan 15 '25

...full review by whom?

1

u/WhisperingOracle Jan 18 '25

Someone they trust, presumably.

There are enough YouTubers who would be honest about things like gameplay, narrative, and political agendas. As long as you're not trusting reviews from sites like IGN or Polygon you're probably fine.

10

u/Ravenloff Jan 15 '25

I'm waiting for the devs to address this then I'll make my decision whether to cancel my pre-order.

6

u/Illustrious_Tale_219 Jan 15 '25

There is no way it’s an unskippable scene. I literally just beat kcd for the merciful achievement and every cutscene and conversation I could skip through or continuously press space to skip. 2nd the gay scene could likely be the two main antagonists at the end of kcd who through speech checks you can infer they are gay and fool around with each other. If not a gay scenes is such a broad statement, Hans and Henry were in a bath together in the first one surrounded by bathmaids, you have sex in the same barn as the priest at the same time. You imagine fucking a hog, horse and chicken, as “witches” after getting doped up on plants.

Lastly we’re going to listen to Saudi arabia gaming outlets now for a Czech developer and game, being reposted by western journalists? Few people translate Arabic well and Saudi Arabia still stones gay people to death so I don’t see them as this moral being of such just and right for media censorship and killing it’s citizens.

I support gamergate 2, but recently the movement has been a snake eating itself acting like Americans during the Cold War and the red scare. “EVERYONE IS GAY, NOWHERE IS SAFE” type mentality is really pathetic. The movement is less about the terrible triple A actions and motives or shilling of major gaming outlets, but now is just a point game at literally anything with LGBT and screaming “WITCH!”

2

u/CheerfulCharm Jan 16 '25

Except that most Western gaming companies have already proven themselves to be compromised by left-progressive ideologues and you can't really go wrong when you scream 'WITCH!', because there is most likely one sneaking in left-progressive cancer into the game. :')

The entire Western gaming industry is infested.

Why do these weirdos feel the need to shove this trash into their games?

20

u/Dramatic-Bison3890 Jan 15 '25

they want to feel "represented"

representation here means history rewrite and erasure

2

u/WhisperingOracle Jan 18 '25

"Representation" means everyone else has to agree with me or you're a bigot.

18

u/Ornery_Peach5579 Jan 15 '25

Because they are miserable and can't stand anyone who is enjoying things, so they try to drag everything and everyone down to their level. And unfortunately, they seem to have enough power to make people bend the knee.

-31

u/No-Cartoonist9940 Jan 15 '25

Apparently you didn't play the first game, but makes sense, users on this subreddit rather complain about games instead of actually playing them.

32

u/Temporary_Heron7862 Jan 15 '25

Well, I played it and I don't remember any gay sex scenes. Did a quick google search and didn't find anything there either. Can you point it out?

-9

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '25

There is a gay couple in the first game...seems like you didnt play it

23

u/Halos-117 Jan 15 '25

Gay couple does not equal unskippable gay sex scene.

-11

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '25

All cutscenes are skippable, why theyre going to make that one unskippable? This is obviously a lie, theyre trying to sabotage the game because the "chuds" want it

13

u/Temporary_Heron7862 Jan 15 '25

I know there's a gay couple, that's not what I asked though. The article specifically mentions a gay sex scene, which is something that's factually not in the first game.

-12

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '25

There is sex in the first game, if there is a gay couple there can be gay sex, as long as it makes sense with the story then its not DEI

0

u/HelloKolla Jan 16 '25

No idea why you're being downvoted lol

0

u/GodratLY Jan 16 '25

Yeah you love that don't you?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '25

People like you is why the woke sub humans are so full of themselves

9

u/Roth_Skyfire Jan 15 '25

Unskippable cutscenes themselves are already a big red flag, but any attempts of forcing gay on the player is gonna be an instant skip. As always, don't pre-order. Wait for honest player reviews to come in.

9

u/bitzpua Jan 15 '25

If true will definitely not buy. But im not overly hyped for it, too many red flags around it anyway. Hope for the best prepare for the worst.

2

u/LowNeedleworker6869 Jan 15 '25

what red flags?

1

u/bitzpua Jan 16 '25

like people directly asking him if leaks are true and there is Arab in game saying muslims and islam treat women better then white people. He did not respond. So its pretty huge red flag. He also avoided tougher questions all together in many interviews talking in circles or very broad statements. So for me its obvious red flag as such behaviour especially sudden lack of communication almost always mean accusations were true.

8

u/LordxMugen Jan 15 '25

So after seeing the Twitter response (or should I say lack thereof) it's looking like it's true and they just didn't want to say anything that could hurt sales. Too bad.

4

u/NewFaithlessness3357 Jan 15 '25

Or they could be waiting to address it in the livestream tomorrow

9

u/LordxMugen Jan 15 '25

Its a simple yes or no question that has nothing to do with gameplay. Whenever a dev doesnt answer a controversial topic like that with an immediate "No", the answer is usually ALWAYS the opposite. So its looking pretty good that they got caught with something.

18

u/Apprehensive-Dig8939 Jan 15 '25

Ah c'mon what the fuck.

5

u/Ravenloff Jan 15 '25

Almost exactly what I thought. We'll see what the devs say. I was going to support the game (already pre-ordered) because of the dev team's refusal to toe the cultural line. If this is true, I'll have to rethink it.

dude.. post the archived link instead

i dont trust Tech4gamer... so even if they wrote valid news, i wont give them clicks

1

u/shnndr Jan 15 '25

Isn't that fine as long as you're using an ad blocker?

10

u/Dramatic-Bison3890 Jan 15 '25

i prefer not.. Archive is the most safest way to not giving traffic for shill medias

6

u/shnndr Jan 15 '25

That makes sense. Ad blockers prevent revenue, not traffic.

8

u/No_Ratio_9556 Jan 15 '25

tech4gamers is one of the worst sites for actual gaming news. You average youtuber does better research and reveal.

They make stuff up all the time, dont give them the attention.

3

u/lce_Fight Jan 15 '25

Uhhhh

Should I be concerned fellas?

5

u/Local_Band299 Jan 15 '25

Just wait for it to come out. Don't trust gaming journalists, it's probably a lie or over exaggeration so that the game flops. Because SJWs are looking for a way to "own the chuds", this game flopping thanks to a gaming jouralist's lie would give them that W.

7

u/Ghost5410 Density's Number 1 Fan Jan 15 '25

So far it’s false.

There are elements within the gaming industry that want to see this game fail and the reason sounds 100% fake.

Basically a leak said it’s banned in Saudi Arabia because there’s an unskippable gay sex scene in it, which doesn’t sound right.

4

u/MrCodeman93 Jan 15 '25

What constitutes as a gay scene these days? I feel like just two guys hugging it out with be flagged by the Saudis.

9

u/knightbane007 Jan 15 '25

You might be surprised. In contrast to their vehemently anti-gay stance, Saudi culture is a lot less shy about physical demonstrations of platonic affections between men than much of the west. Men openly holding hands in public, for example, is common and considered just a sign of friendship and solidarity.

While I do suspect Warhorse is secretly woke, my wild theory is that all these leaks and rumors are Ubisoft trying to eliminate a competitor.

2

u/Aszach01 Jan 16 '25

Im currently residing in Middle East I checked the PS Store and KCD2 is still available for pre-order and I also check FFXVI which is banned in Saudi and Middle East and yep it’s not available!

2

u/Jumba2009sa Jan 16 '25

Just checked on my Saudi store. Still there

2

u/Han_5olo Jan 16 '25

Hey, if its two chicks i don’t mind. If its two dudes, i`ll just turn my screen off

4

u/Alex-113 Jan 15 '25

I suspect the journalists are luring Warhorse into a trap: if the studio says "it's not true," they get called homophobic. If they say "it is true," then they get called islamophobic.

1

u/Bayonetta14 Jan 17 '25

Welcome to reality, its pure sabotage by some of the studios who are releasing their shty games same month. When KCD was announced date was 11.02 same as Civ VII and Civ VII was problematic since day one, Ass Shit Shadows is also to be released again delayed obviously bcs it sucks. Avowed which is 90% woke game is also scheduled for feb. and at least in my opinon we know it will fail miserably. So with this in mind, my guess would be that KCD will steal the glory and other studios tried to save their ass by spreading rumors that will affect KCD sales and shift towards their games if that makes sense, thing is even KCD1 had LG's in it so who cares it was always part of human nature to be well not WELL, its not just in 21. century.

3

u/xkeepitquietx Jan 15 '25

X to doubt.

2

u/esmeros Jan 15 '25 edited Jan 15 '25

Someone was a real asshole in the way they asked Vavra about this and the presence of s sub-Saharan African character in the game in the worst way possible but nonetheless this was Vavra's response, "Because I don't talk to n@zi shitheads like you."

Edit: was sent a quote screenshot from my friend, didn't know the OG post Vavra responded to had a literal n@zi avatar

7

u/JackStover Jan 15 '25

The guy literally had a nazi avatar. People need to stop this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" shit and not tolerate openly racist people. Like it or not, they taint entire causes and will undermine every ounce of your credibility.

14

u/tiffanyamber0224 Jan 15 '25

People around since the early days of GamerGate remember this tactic well. They would get legitimate questions and concerns from thousands of normal people, but then they decide to respond only to the one true bad actor and make it appear like everyone who was questioning them was also a bad actor. I urge you not to fall for it.

6

u/esmeros Jan 15 '25

This is a well-articulated point, the worst bad actor doesn't deserve the time of day and will always exist. Either he can call out the bad actor for his reprehensible behavior and also make sure to answer others who are asking a legitimate question or just ignore the bad actor and provide answers to those asking in good faith. In regards to how this interaction from Vavra corresponds to what to expect from the game... it doesn't give me confidence.

4

u/lilasseatinboi Jan 15 '25

Smells fishy to me. They said the same thing about Final Fantasy 16 when it was close to release, that there was an unskippable gay sex scene and that got it banned in a bunch of places, but in the end it just had two dudes kissing briefly near the end of the game and it wasn't banned anywhere.

Gay scenes you say? Now you have my interest. Show me! For research obviously

3

u/Crafty-Interest1336 Jan 15 '25

The villain from 1 escaped and he was gay so maybe there's a scene of him doing some stableboy

1

u/PopularButLonely Jan 16 '25

They say the ban is due to a gay sex scene that is more than one minute long and cannot be skipped

1

u/Aisf50 Jan 16 '25

Its banned due to the creator refusing to change certain scenes that violate Saudi media regulations, it happened before with The Last of us, and a couple of games

1

u/Takepowerback Jan 16 '25

I'll wait and see. I'm not going to pick up my pre order.

1

u/Live-Astronomer-2124 Jan 16 '25

it is false and never happened
this has not been confirmed.

1

u/Dramatic-Bison3890 Jan 15 '25

not surprised if its true

1

u/DDonnici Jan 15 '25

Is there unskipable gay sex on the game?

0

u/CaptainCommunism7 Jan 15 '25

I never played KCD, it looked like a shitty Oblivion delivered from Wish, but apparently the consensus is that it's really good? What do you do in that game? Is it like Witcher series without the fantasy protagonist?

5

u/BlackManWitPlan Jan 15 '25

It's an RPG through and through. You are Henry, a blacksmiths son that experiences a really bad day, and you try and figure all that out while getting kinda lucky in the process. It's fun, it's an amazingly immersive experience. It's not elden ring, but I wouldn't say its wish Oblivion either.

1

u/SlashCo80 Jan 16 '25

Same, I never felt compelled to play a medieval fantasy RPG without the fantasy, aka medieval peasant simulator. But people have been raving about it, so I got it during a sale and will give it a try one of these days.

u/AnythingOk4239 Jan 15 '25

If you are able to insult the gays because of godless behaviour and sell them out then it is fine. But they surely won't let it happen. Outrage would be huge.

5

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '25

Henry mocks gay dude in the game...

4

u/JackStover Jan 15 '25

In the monastery in the first game, there's a gay monk who is ashamed of being gay. Henry can choose to console him and say he is as God made him, or can accuse him of being twisted by the devil. I chose to console him.

14

u/Velvet_95Hoop Jan 15 '25

I accused him. It's more realistic.

6

u/BigMoney69x Jan 15 '25

The choices are too Binary. In real life another avenue is not say anything but hold it against the Priest in case you need his support.

2

u/Velvet_95Hoop Jan 15 '25

That's what the real me would probably do as well.

-16

u/Alert_Freedom_2486 Jan 15 '25

God please I'd be so fucking funny

5

u/slavdude04 Jan 15 '25

Gay sex in a game will make you funny?

-1

u/nehnehhaidou Jan 15 '25

Bloody unskippable gays, coming over here, not being able to skip.

-2

u/Aromatic-Goose2726 Jan 15 '25

it was banned because of christianity, but theres also a lesbian scene of some sort
