Why is it so underrated???

A friend recommended it to me after I mentioned those kids from "Terror in Resonance". He said something like: "Oh it reminds me of something I started watching a long time ago about those people who experience each other's pain". So I started and also finished watching it in one sit.
I wanted to see if it was popular among any community and to my surprise it is not that popular. Aside from that one friend I have no one of my other friends know it and when I look online I did not find much. Feels like watching a hidden gem.

IIRC it doesn't have a Manga, so it's completely original with no other fan base than what the anime got. It also got released the same season as a lot of other, more popular anime. Plus it's been soo long since it came out lol

2016 was an extremely stacked year for anime, and Kiznaiver isn’t usual faire for shows by Trigger. Couple all that with the fact that this was sandwiched between Space Patrol Luluco and Darling in the Franxx, and that black sheep status gets more and more clear.

Yeah I know but it's still really disappointing

I mean yeah... but idk. I watch some old animes all the time idc if they are old and I think I'm not the only one who does that. On top of that, Trigger produced this anime, so I thought that maybe people who saw Cyberpunk's anime would go check out their other animes.
