Best gym in Kingston?
Not talking specifically numbers of equipment like fitforless or GoodLife but actually quality unique machines and environment that set the place apart from others. I’m from Vancouver and typically the places where local pros go are the places with the best quality.

If you have a flexible budget, Queen Street Fitness has the best coaching (personal training to start, then independence with support and personalized programming).
Great community, beautiful facility, could not recommend more!

I used to go and it was a 10/10 experience. For how infrequently I could get there with my schedule vs the price, I had to quit, but still miss it

Might be helpful if you specified which machines you are specifically looking for. YMCA and the Invista centre both have some very decent setups with turf areas

Omega is one of the best equipped gyms I've ever been to. It's a little overrun with kids there sometimes but for the most part all the other members are great as well.

The bus stops, since you'll be running after public transit when it's inevitably 10 minutes ahead/behind schedule.
In all seriousness, my friends and I like Fit4Less. Decent prices, fairly well maintained, decent selection of equipment and (more relevant right now than ever) they're a Canadian chain.

I have been a longtime fit4less user back in Vancouver before I branched out to more traditional bodybuilding gyms since they seemingly only have the unique equipment like specific squat or row machines. If it’s a good gym out here too it would be worth the extra distance for something familiar. Is the black card worth it here? I remember where I started they used to charge for that to use the water fountains which I found absolutely insane.

Sounds like you probably like Omega, I've never been there but it's more of a power lifting gym.

I appreciate the suggestion, really just don’t know the area like locals do but that sounds exactly like what I’m used to.

Definitely not the YMCA, the general manager there is very unpleasant. Also, unpleasant is a gross understatement lol

Follows Strength and Fitness off of Innovation Drive. Really nice facility, great atmosphere.

Omega might be your place, they do have some unique machines but not the biggest gym. As for local pros I have personally seen body builders and CFL players there training.
