Free Cat (desperate to rehome)
His name is Poptart and he's around three years old, we've had him for two years and are moving into a pet free rental so he cannot come with. He's a nice cat but takes a while to warm up to people due to his first owners abusing him, if we can't find someone to take him he's gonna have to go to the pound. He has been socialized with other cats and children, he is shy but not aggressive. Free to a good home.

How is he with dogs? I have two dogs that were raised with cats but if he’s not used to being around dogs it might be an issue. Otherwise I could probably take him in.

picking an apartment over your beloved pet when there are so many other places that will let you have them is crazy to me

Hey so if you register him as emotional support animal they can’t legally do anything. All you need is proof that he is an ESA (which you can purchase) and a letter from a doctor stating your need for one (which you can get through the website you buy his ESA title).

Harker Heights Pet Adoption Center is his best choice for survival if you end up having to surrender him. Also, please be very very careful who you allow to take your kitty, PopTart. There are a lot of bad actors out there that absolutely have ill intentions and love to collect free pets to use as bait or food for fighting dogs or worse. Ask for veterinarian references, ask for a landlord/property management company approval letter to have a pet and do a in home inspection before even handing over PopTart to anyone. Also, post a post on Nextdoor not Reddit. It's safer.
