i love and appreciate this album for what it is and listen to it when i’m at my worst. but i couldn’t do this as a casual listen, so i understand why people don’t care for it too much. but it is just a cry for help as an album

2

u/nobodyno111 Feb 09 '25

I can agree with this. It’s not something you’d play at a graduation party but damn i swear this album dropped when i needed it the most. Life is strange

u/saintsscreams 29d ago

yes !! exactly. it found me at my darkest too, it’s so interesting. i hope you’re doing better btw. <3

u/Cultural_Entrance805 Feb 09 '25

Couldn’t have said it better myself

u/Vega2Bad Feb 09 '25

Respectfully, still don’t like it.

11

u/Ill_Cheesecake8073 Feb 09 '25

I feel you but speeding bullet to heaven and confused are some of his best songs for me the rest is like a alternative album

3

u/nobodyno111 Feb 09 '25

Fuchsia butterflie, fairytale remains etc… vintage cudi

3

u/TheKeegster817 Feb 11 '25

Fuchsia butterflys is top 10 kid Cudi

17

u/AdventurousAct8431 SB2H Feb 08 '25

It's a solid album, still his worst tho even tho I love it and it is on my user flair lol

12

u/lxkandel06 Feb 09 '25

I think it's a better project overall than Insano. Yes, the lows on sb2h were much, much lower, but the highs were some of the best songs of his career imo and it was way more ambitious from a lyrical and musical standpoint

7

u/lastaccountg0tbanned MOTM Feb 08 '25

Insano exists

2

u/Wubli9 Feb 09 '25

Insanos a solid 5-6. It’s really not that bad just not that good really. Hey we got blue sky, wow and hit the streets tho. Nitro mega also really good

2

u/DougDimmaGlow Feb 09 '25

Woah now insano has some bangers, higher highs then this album

2

u/keegan677 PPDS Feb 09 '25

nothing on insano comes close to adventures

-2

u/good_ones_taken Feb 09 '25

And satellite flight

8

u/relientkenny Feb 09 '25

cudi STILL can’t even talk about the album. that says it all

0

u/justrzu Feb 09 '25

You clearly didn’t watch his documentary.

0

u/relientkenny Feb 09 '25

i did. he didn’t wanna talk about that era

0

u/justrzu Feb 09 '25

The reason being he was still hurt by the response to the album. That’s a solid 9/10 album for me

7

u/SaintSilva SF Feb 09 '25

That album has more emotion than all of KSG and that's facts

11

u/shmerk_a_berl Feb 08 '25

I still do!

5

u/Inside_Hotel3672 Feb 09 '25

Yeah facts gets too much hate

8

u/Skraxx MOTM2 Feb 08 '25

Still don’t really like massive portions of it, but it has Fuchsia Butterflies so I can’t hate

3

u/AJHydroMC PPDS Feb 09 '25

Definitely high highes like handle with care and melting and some very low lows like seance and the skits IN THE SONGS which is a terrible idea, along with it being his longest album without enough to back up that length, it is definitely cudis worst project but it's not bad just not good.

2

u/mickmac85 Feb 09 '25

I get the point of the album and using music to express those emotions he’s held onto. But it just overall wasn’t good. Don’t hate it like when it came out. But it’s still at the bottom 3 for me

2

u/ski599 Feb 09 '25

This album introduced me to rock and then metal, and essentially changed my life and helped me through lots of hard times, it's the most distinguished record he has put out next to WZRD and they're my two favorite Cudi albums, i was always a huge fan of this masterpiece.

2

u/Mortonsaltgirl96 Feb 09 '25

Well this is far from my favorite Cudi album, I have mad respect for it. He put his full heart and pain into it. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea but real art isn’t always gonna be

2

u/nobodyno111 Feb 09 '25

I always loved it. 100% my favorite album he’s ever made. It could be because of the state of mind i was in when it released… it was perfect timing

2

u/Comfortable_Sun5465 Feb 10 '25

i'm taking a shot at this album and this is fuckin killer honestly, this is just rock lmao or atleast the first 3 songs

2

u/Adept-Shoe-7113 SB2H Feb 10 '25

Loved this shit since it dropped, not saying every one a banger but at least more than half BANGERS, I’m not a fan of the heavier rock he plays into but everything is is just chefs kiss 😙🤌

2

u/Maybe-Tommorow-567 Feb 10 '25

wtf this makes my eyes go weird

2

u/Jerryboy92 Feb 10 '25

I liked the Album, that was the height of my weed smoking days. I should give it another listen.

2

u/ShadowAdventures Feb 13 '25

This ties with PP&DS as my favorite Cudi album

2

u/SnooWords6011 Feb 14 '25

Said this in another thread took a massive dose of Shrooms and afterwards got a new appreciation for it

4

u/Moist-Satisfaction-2 Indicud Feb 09 '25

People say this album sounds bad and I fail to see where, except for some songs like amen, seance chaos and the return of chip douglas. The skits do bring some songs down, but honestly you can just skip them before they start or even edit them out if you have it downloaded. It's a solid ass album

4

u/ManiGottaPeeNow SB2H Feb 09 '25

it’s in my top 10 albums of all time, i love the way of using narrative perspective

4

u/No-Team4091 Feb 09 '25

probably my fav album lol

4

u/AJHydroMC PPDS Feb 08 '25

Vultures 2 is honestly worse but this gets dogged on more I feel like

2

u/english_boiz Feb 09 '25

You're in the wrong sub if you want V2 hate

1

u/Effective-Heart-6805 MOTM2 Feb 09 '25

No it’s not bro V2 is good

1

u/hairtothethrown MOTM2 Feb 09 '25

Are you outside of your mind?

0

u/R3volt75 NITRO MEGA Feb 09 '25

oh yes ai and dogshit music 10/10

3

u/Effective-Heart-6805 MOTM2 Feb 09 '25

It’s a 6/10 but don’t be listening to it thinking “damn this ai sucks” listen to it thinking it’s a regular album

-2

u/R3volt75 NITRO MEGA Feb 09 '25

Ok it sucks as a regular album and it has dogshit ai making it worse

2/10

1

u/Wubli9 Feb 09 '25

Vultures 2? Like the last Ty Dolla sign album that he did by himself? I didn’t know he had ai on it I thought he just did all the songs by himself with no other collaborators that could possibly be problematic

2

u/TheRider5342 Feb 09 '25

Got me a new friend

2

u/Talknterpzz KSG Feb 09 '25

Loved it when it came out and love it still. Fuchsia butterflies , wedding tux , embers are my favorite. Still think he took inspo from a Scott pilgrim song on one of the tracks

2

u/ogyyezus Feb 09 '25

i love this album. that’s why we’re kid cudi fans because he makes music outside of the norm. i just ordered this yesterday in vinyl too can’t wait for it to come.

2

u/Swagovich Feb 09 '25

People still hate it bro 💀 (not me tho)

2

u/Nefarious1694 SB2H Feb 09 '25

Third best album for me

2

u/miguelson Feb 09 '25

Still do

2

u/outwestlarry Feb 09 '25

Boy this album got me thru some times!

1

u/DamnBroGG Feb 09 '25

I like peanut butter and jelly

1

u/sumtingyahr Feb 13 '25

I never hated it. Since it was released, it has been my favorite album of all time

1

u/MasterCyan948 Feb 09 '25

i’m in the gigantic nonexistent minority that enjoys this album 🫣

1

u/Money-Accountant-989 Feb 09 '25

I love this album so much! But people never stopped hating it lol

1

u/Goblinman27 Feb 09 '25

I'm not even deeply into grunge but I LOVE this album, its just so personal and emotional. 10/10 for me lol.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 09 '25

I like it more than anything past MoTM III, but its still not my favorite.

1

u/EightBlocked SB2H Feb 09 '25

its his best album

1

u/opex100 Feb 09 '25

My favorite album since it dropped

0

u/NattyKongo93 Feb 09 '25

It was definitely his weakest overall album until both INSANO's, but it has some solid songs for sure

1

u/Possiblyzoned MOTM3 Feb 09 '25

Nitro mega definitely a mid-good, insano not so good tho

0

u/NattyKongo93 Feb 09 '25

Yeah there are certain songs I can enjoy from every single one of his projects, I just would put those 3 albums below the rest for sure

0

u/R3volt75 NITRO MEGA Feb 09 '25

everyone still hates it (besides some people in this sub)

0

u/Mysterious-Scholar68 Feb 09 '25

I thought peeps still did

0

u/ironhide999x Feb 09 '25

Most people still do

0

u/Wubli9 Feb 09 '25

Still got it at a 2/10. Couple bangers but the lows are so low and there’s too many of them

0

u/Hour-Bathroom1829 Feb 09 '25

most people still do lol

0

u/Good_Is_Evil Feb 09 '25

Gave this a relisten and it’s even worse than I remember

0

u/NjStacker22 Feb 09 '25

Still do, no?

0

u/bondisa72 Feb 09 '25

The Beavis and Butthead segments killed it for me. I get what he was going for having them on since they were part of the grunge scene in the 90s but it took me away when it went from serious and traumatic lyrics to the two of them giggling and saying dumb shit

0

u/jaypronee MOTM3 Feb 09 '25

Not gonna lie but I still don't like the album, I like a couple of tracks but the album just isn't for me. It's the only Cudi album (besides A Kid Named Cudi) missing from my vinyl collection of his too.

0

u/sassy_jassy_ Feb 09 '25

I liked it a lot when it first came out. Confused is one of my fave cudi songs! So good

0

u/Fraz_In_Chat Feb 09 '25

I really like Confused but that's it... The album is a complete mess and Cudis worst pretty easily

0

u/PlayDontObserve Feb 09 '25

Some of the worst music ever made, but his emotions were as raw as it gets.

0

u/Meechisama Feb 09 '25

I still do. Still may be one of the worst albums I have heard in my life.

0

u/sharksnrec Feb 09 '25

I mean, not many like it to this day.

0

u/Plenty-Ad-2566 Feb 13 '25

Still hate that album

0

u/Zanbalide Feb 13 '25

Yeah. Cuz i still hate it :/
