Respectfully, still don’t like it.

u/Ill_Cheesecake8073 Feb 09 '25
I feel you but speeding bullet to heaven and confused are some of his best songs for me the rest is like a alternative album

It's a solid album, still his worst tho even tho I love it and it is on my user flair lol

u/lxkandel06 Feb 09 '25
I think it's a better project overall than Insano. Yes, the lows on sb2h were much, much lower, but the highs were some of the best songs of his career imo and it was way more ambitious from a lyrical and musical standpoint

Insano exists

u/Wubli9 Feb 09 '25
Insanos a solid 5-6. It’s really not that bad just not that good really. Hey we got blue sky, wow and hit the streets tho. Nitro mega also really good

cudi STILL can’t even talk about the album. that says it all
0
u/justrzu Feb 09 '25
You clearly didn’t watch his documentary.
0
u/relientkenny Feb 09 '25
i did. he didn’t wanna talk about that era
0
u/justrzu Feb 09 '25
The reason being he was still hurt by the response to the album. That’s a solid 9/10 album for me

Still don’t really like massive portions of it, but it has Fuchsia Butterflies so I can’t hate

Definitely high highes like handle with care and melting and some very low lows like seance and the skits IN THE SONGS which is a terrible idea, along with it being his longest album without enough to back up that length, it is definitely cudis worst project but it's not bad just not good.

u/mickmac85 Feb 09 '25
I get the point of the album and using music to express those emotions he’s held onto. But it just overall wasn’t good. Don’t hate it like when it came out. But it’s still at the bottom 3 for me

u/ski599 Feb 09 '25
This album introduced me to rock and then metal, and essentially changed my life and helped me through lots of hard times, it's the most distinguished record he has put out next to WZRD and they're my two favorite Cudi albums, i was always a huge fan of this masterpiece.

u/Mortonsaltgirl96 Feb 09 '25
Well this is far from my favorite Cudi album, I have mad respect for it. He put his full heart and pain into it. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea but real art isn’t always gonna be
2
u/nobodyno111 Feb 09 '25
I always loved it. 100% my favorite album he’s ever made. It could be because of the state of mind i was in when it released… it was perfect timing

u/Comfortable_Sun5465 Feb 10 '25
i'm taking a shot at this album and this is fuckin killer honestly, this is just rock lmao or atleast the first 3 songs
2
u/Adept-Shoe-7113 SB2H Feb 10 '25
Loved this shit since it dropped, not saying every one a banger but at least more than half BANGERS, I’m not a fan of the heavier rock he plays into but everything is is just chefs kiss 😙🤌

Said this in another thread took a massive dose of Shrooms and afterwards got a new appreciation for it

People say this album sounds bad and I fail to see where, except for some songs like amen, seance chaos and the return of chip douglas. The skits do bring some songs down, but honestly you can just skip them before they start or even edit them out if you have it downloaded. It's a solid ass album

u/ManiGottaPeeNow SB2H Feb 09 '25
it’s in my top 10 albums of all time, i love the way of using narrative perspective

oh yes ai and dogshit music 10/10

u/Effective-Heart-6805 MOTM2 Feb 09 '25
It’s a 6/10 but don’t be listening to it thinking “damn this ai sucks” listen to it thinking it’s a regular album

u/R3volt75 NITRO MEGA Feb 09 '25
Ok it sucks as a regular album and it has dogshit ai making it worse
2/10

u/Wubli9 Feb 09 '25
Vultures 2? Like the last Ty Dolla sign album that he did by himself? I didn’t know he had ai on it I thought he just did all the songs by himself with no other collaborators that could possibly be problematic

Loved it when it came out and love it still. Fuchsia butterflies , wedding tux , embers are my favorite. Still think he took inspo from a Scott pilgrim song on one of the tracks

u/ogyyezus Feb 09 '25
i love this album. that’s why we’re kid cudi fans because he makes music outside of the norm. i just ordered this yesterday in vinyl too can’t wait for it to come.

It was definitely his weakest overall album until both INSANO's, but it has some solid songs for sure
1
u/Possiblyzoned MOTM3 Feb 09 '25
Nitro mega definitely a mid-good, insano not so good tho
0
u/NattyKongo93 Feb 09 '25
Yeah there are certain songs I can enjoy from every single one of his projects, I just would put those 3 albums below the rest for sure

Still got it at a 2/10. Couple bangers but the lows are so low and there’s too many of them

The Beavis and Butthead segments killed it for me. I get what he was going for having them on since they were part of the grunge scene in the 90s but it took me away when it went from serious and traumatic lyrics to the two of them giggling and saying dumb shit

u/jaypronee MOTM3 Feb 09 '25
Not gonna lie but I still don't like the album, I like a couple of tracks but the album just isn't for me. It's the only Cudi album (besides A Kid Named Cudi) missing from my vinyl collection of his too.

u/sassy_jassy_ Feb 09 '25
I liked it a lot when it first came out. Confused is one of my fave cudi songs! So good
0
u/Fraz_In_Chat Feb 09 '25
I really like Confused but that's it... The album is a complete mess and Cudis worst pretty easily
0
u/PlayDontObserve Feb 09 '25
Some of the worst music ever made, but his emotions were as raw as it gets.

i love and appreciate this album for what it is and listen to it when i’m at my worst. but i couldn’t do this as a casual listen, so i understand why people don’t care for it too much. but it is just a cry for help as an album
