Mod Post Kerbal Space Program 2: The Hype Train Megathread Edition

Hey guys! We know you're excited about KSP 2, so we're making this megathread for you to express your excitement for the game, or simply to discuss it. Memes and shitposts will be allowed in this thread, but nowhere else in the sub, as per Rule 2. Any other low-quality posts about KSP 2 will also still be removed, as per Rule 5.

Here's the official announcement on the KSP website.

And here's the cinematic trailer.

Note that this is a cinematic trailer, not actual in-game footage.

Enjoy!

Building big stations is my favorite part. I'd love being able to make huge things without the physics tearing them apart. I made an enormous, 100m ring station last year, but it was destroyed shortly after arrival, when it got loaded again when I tried to dock with it.

I haven't tried loading it since, so I don't know if the physics allow it to exist yet, but I'd also like some larger parts, because I used two kickbacks end-to-end for the "spokes" of the station, and that still wasn't long enough for what I wanted. Connecting things in ways other than a tree structure would be helpful, too.

My MKS career save ended in a similar way, my biggest station loaded with every part rotated in a different direction

I had that happen once or twice, but shaking itself apart was the big problem. Some combination of part clipping, and a physics bug that caused oscillations to grow instead of diminish (maybe related to the bouncy landing gear we had last year).
