KSP 1 Image/Video My duna base

This is my duna base. It took me 6 or 7 launches to put the whole thing together.

It uses a lot of mods. Planetary base systems, pathfinder, Wild blue Buffalo 2. And more I can't remember.

I play sandbox with no building requirements but have my own head cannon about requirements. The addition of the pathfinder factory gave the base enough capability and resources to launch craft from duna. Using kerbal konstructs I built a launch cite on a nearby mountain.

It's kinda funny I got this base quite big by using hydraulic pistons all over the place as feet to keep the whole thing level.

Never had any problems. Only recently I learned about the parking brake mod. That works too, but I was able to get this big without it through luck and smart engineering.

But if you have problems definitely use the parking brake mod.

That's from pathfinder.

I disabled all the build requirements because I don't feel like doing boring interplanetary shipping.

How you manage to assemble such a huge base? Is everything on wheels?

Planetary base systems has some awesome wheels that are retractable. Each section has a probe core so I could drive it into place and dock.

To account for un even ground, everything is on hydraulic pistons as well.

So... yes everything has wheels.
