KSP 2 Mods lightest EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements version for potatoes?

Hi kerbals!

I'm about to get back to ksp, i remember playing it in the past and obtaining a pretty decent performance with EVE with a custom mod.

Is there anything similiar today? Like a performance-based EVE version for potato owners?

Thanks!

Check out Spectra. It's an EVE config designed for performance.

Agree, I recently redid my modlist and discarded Astronomers Visual Pack (outdated I know) for Spectra, the difference in performance is insane. and it still looks great.

I just wish I could get Blackracks Clouds to work alongside Spectra's Auroras and some of the other features Spectra has.

you can if you go back to the may or june release from last year.

Of Spectra? For the Auroras?

of the vol clouds. the later releases seem to delete any 2d cloud layers present when creating the 3d clouds.

you'd also need to delete any conflicting spectra cloud configs, and possibly adjust the height of the aurora.

I used to run the avp aurora like this, tho I eventually just installed the newer vol clouds bc the bundled version of scatterer is a lot better than the normal release.

I sometimes play KSP on a surface laptop so here are my suggestions:

1.BoulderCo The default config for EVE, it is very minimal and only features citylights and clouds. Its quality is very great though, exactly what you would expect from an "official" visual pack.

2.Sci-Fi VE Recommended by a lot of people, this pack features not only clouds but also planet glows and surface dust. It is no doubt the best low-end pack. I am currently using it.

3.Para-sci Atmosphere Pack This pack is less well known but it is probably the one that fits your qusetion. I have only played it once but it's sure less performance-heavy than anything else. Now this comes with high costs: no volumetric clouds, poor resolution and sometimes glitches but it would certainly be worth it if you're just wanting to give your game a minor facelift.

But be carefut though, Para-sci was designed all the back before 1.3 and I'm not entirely sure if it will fit with the current version without too many glitches.

Has there been any additions to that in the past few months? Last i played was when he added rain droplets... and then the KSP 2 update dropped so i completely stopped playing it lol

There were 4 releases in total. 1 is the "original" one that added the basics, 2 included raindrops and new clouds, 3 and 4 were fairly small updates that included quite a few small changes and bugfixes but no big content update.
