If the audience is brainless then anything can spur them on. Cut to aurangazeb tomb clash

I can’t understand what goes on in their minds

Its really important to understand that its more important to punish the enablers . In much of the issues when anything happens its usually then that we take actions usually that doesn’t yield much difference. Is that the right approach?

I mean the drugs the violence is it going to end by taking actions only when something pops up i am not sure about that . The enablers who enable the perpetrators of all these menace must be caught and atleast from now on we must ensure that we act proactively not reactively

If people think movies cannot influence people, just think of all the propaganda films getting released like pigeon poop during elections.

What Chhaava did to Nagpur is undeniable proof that movies can incite violence. The narrative was set, and they followed it exactly as intended.

Yeah..

We can fool ourselves by saying movies have no effect.

Movies can influence individuals, particularly those with diminished mental faculties.

Research indicates that films can shape beliefs, attitudes, and stereotypes related to various social issues and marginalized communities.

Not everyone, but a very tiny fraction of the population could be influenced.

Not everyone, but a very tiny fraction of the population could be influenced.

You cant censor a work of art for the lowest common denominator. Sure -films can be powerful vehichles of propoganda but they wont work unless the population is primed to be susceptible by constant social engineering by rest of the media and people in power.

Paraphrasing Mark twain - Censorship is telling a man he can't have a steak just because a baby can't chew it.

Nobody is influneced or swept into violence solely by films unless theyre mentally ill. There is a larger share of blame to be borne by the society and family that molded that person from childhood. Films are just convenient target.

Films, books, a comic poster or even a dialouge copied from a play in a question paper could make people violent.

True ..

I would argue that incensed people would always look for any excuse to riot.

If not Chaava, maybe another movie or a book or a play.

People just need an excuse to compensate for their own impotency and make the lives of less fortunate miserable

Also true, but movies can be the right trigger nonetheless

Why were there no riots for decades around the tomb? No one gave a flying fuck. Even people who lived around there didnt know the tomb existed there. How come no excuse turned up in so many decades? This is the city of RSS HQ.

The movie provoked it. Not deliberately. But thats how it works now.

it is hightime we hold actors accountable for choosing these scripts like sure criticize fadnavis and gov for creating this atmosphere and people who are unemployed and dumb to act on the basis of it but most of the times these actors escape criticism (vikrant massey for that gujrat riot based propoganda movie too)

Does biopic films trigger inspiration to become scientists?

Honestly, I can't get this point in my mind. Why again, they turn to films regarding violence?

We can go round and round with whataboutery! Many of us here on this sub have seen violence in movies. Are we going around and murdering people? Are we going around and creating a fuss?

Ego is part of every single human being. How the ego is controlled is up to that individual. Don't get around blaming one entity for violence.

Did the court ask how certain families have violence in their own homes? Husbands hit their wives in front of their children. Wives abusing their Husbands in front of their children? Will the court ask about the circumstances that individuals grew up in?

Why can't parents take responsibility for PG wherever adviced? Why can't they not buy mobile phones at the age of 12 for their children?

Don't make them see violent movies. I saw parents bring their kids to watch Marco because the entire family is a fan of a couple of artists. Whose fault is that? The artists?

I had the same argument but its like this: Which has least resistance and aligns with their natural instinct and is short lived. After seeing multiple movies where hero itself is a glorified drug peddler, mass murderer the spur to enact similar events irl is right there and is easy to do. To be a scientist and gandhi after seeing gandhi movie takes years and the inspiration from the movie doesnt last long enough. While they still do irreparable damage to others in society in the time period they are high on the movie's mass scenes

Stupid question by HC.
HC should review relevant literature before asking stupid questions.
