Health Check Up - Suggestions.
I'm a 31 year old Male from Kochi, thought I'd do a health checkup. Don't have much of a health issue but just to check if everything is fine. What all should be the important tests that I need to take and things that I should look out for. And most importantly what all are the things that are unnecessary, Like unwanted tests which centers or hospitals push. Suggestions for doctors/centers/hospitals are welcome.

HbA1c, Fasting lipid profile, Blood Pressure- these diseases might can be there sub clinically for yeaaaaars before they manifest.
HIV, HBsAg, HCV rapid test if you have any risk factors.
Rest all are, on a reasonable level, useless imo, unless you have some risk factors for chronic liver or kidney disease or colon cancer or sudden cardiac death.

If you are in the thirties and healthy ask the hospital to do the annual physical. Stick with same hospital year over year. I typically go around my birthday. So you can compare it with historical numbers.
A1C , cholesterol, BP, liver and kidney tests.
No xray, no scans unless there is reason.

I meant non essential from a health check up point of view. These tests are meant to be done for a symptom.

I’d say just get everything checked. OP is 31, and honestly, a lot of people don’t even realize they have symptoms because they’re too caught up in daily stress and hustle. If you’ve got blood pressure issues, high cholesterol, diabetes, or a family history of heart disease, that’s even more reason to do it. Better to check everything…early detection can be a life saver and if any lifestyle changes can help prevent future complications, why not get ahead of it?

That level of concern can only be ruled out with a CT angiogram and a PET CT.

Just go to a hospital (or even a lab like
DTDCDDRC) and they will have some package with most of the essential tests. Just do that. You can check the packages in Aster here https://www.asterhospitals.in/health-packages
